Talonblaze's Pre-Guide to Escape Mode
So, just before the mode comes out, your probably wondering... How do I play? Well, its broken down into two simple objectives, one for each side. I am going to help explain, and give small tips to helping players stay at their top.
-Black List
Your objective is to escape into the portal.
Depending on the map there MAY be door obstacles in your way barring you in addition to the GR from accessing the portal. Destroying these will aid in speeding up this process as much as possible. However there may be other ways around those, and would be best to exploit them.
While doing this you have a strict time limit to score as many points as possible given the rooms set limit. (I believe 10mins total.)
Working together as a team to take down obstacles or aiding others to the escape portal is a must. Going lone wolf usually gets you killed against the equally numerous GR.
Entering the portal however causes one slight drawback, where once someone enters, another can't for about 3-5 seconds. Timing is everything as well.
The plus side is that in addition to killing the GR, you gain a +2 to your kills for each time you enter the portal.
ACE is designated by the one who enters the portal more and not by the one with the most kills.
Use different types of grenades and weapons to aid in the game-play, covering you and your allies is a must as the GR will be ready in wait.
All you need to do is touch the portal's middle to escape, no fancy button pressing.
A few things to note:
-Grenades and knives do not damage the doors. Only bullets do.
-There's 3 stages till a door is destroyed. Blue (Good condition, default), Yellow (Damaged.) and Red (badly Damaged), after that the door breaks.
-The door has alot of HP, having only 1 person shooting it will not destroy it fast.
-Global Risk
Your objective is to prevent the Black List from entering the portal by holding out until the time expires.
Not much to truly explain on the GR side but to cover the portal and your team to stop the BL's from getting points any way possible. May seem easy at first but as time wears on it gets more and more difficult. Thankfully you have the element of preparation on your side and they have to come to you. Use that to your advantage.
However one thing to note is that your own weapons can damage the doors. Be wary of this as it can hinder more than help.
Keep an eye out for alternate ways for the BL's to sneak past or circumvent the traditional door method.
Things to note on the game overall.
-Infinite respawns. You die/escape, you go back to your base.
-Teams switch sides after the time or points run out. Where the opposite side has to escape.
-GR* win if they reach the score the BL* set at the second half.
*Original sides chosen. As the GR, even as BL are still counted as their team, and vice versa.
I know its not much, but i think its more than what some people will know of the start.

Nice guide. I have a quick question that may seem dumb, it Breakout scrimable or not?
As far as I know it isn't, no true confirmation on it.
But, if it isn't it should be. As its basically doing the clan server's job in one single game by switching sides (and still maintaining true teams and scores.)
Plus, it does involve alot of strat and thinking involved.
