Ranked Mode Integrity & Enforcement System
1. Overview
To maintain a fair and competitive environment in ranked matchmaking, this system introduces a structured, report-driven enforcement mechanism. It automatically identifies suspicious accounts, limits their impact on ranked play, and enables Game Masters (GMs) to efficiently review cases and issue appropriate actions.
2. Report Threshold Mechanism
Each player in ranked matches can submit reports for cheating, exploiting, or unfair gameplay.
To prevent abuse, the system only counts:
- Reports from unique players,
- Across multiple matches,
- Within a specific time window (e.g., 24–72 hours).
When an account reaches the report threshold, it is flagged for review and temporarily restricted from ranked matchmaking.
3. Temporary Ranked Suspension
Once the report threshold is triggered:
- The account is automatically suspended from ranked mode only.
- The player may still access non-ranked modes unless the violation is severe.
- A notification informs the player that their ranked access is temporarily disabled pending review.
This minimizes potential harm to competitive integrity while avoiding unnecessary full-account penalties.
4. GM Case Review Pipeline
Flagged accounts are placed into a priority queue for Game Master review.
GMs will have access to:
- Match logs, replay data, and performance anomalies,
- Cheat detection flags from automated systems,
- Player report history and consistency metrics.
Based on this data, GMs can confirm or dismiss the suspected behavior.
5. Post-Review Outcomes
After the GM completes the investigation, one of the following actions is applied:
5.1 Confirmed Cheating
- Permanent account ban,
- IP address to prevent rerolling,
- All ranked progress and rewards revoked.
5.2 No Cheating Detected
- Ranked suspension is immediately lifted,
- Report points for that case are cleared,
- Player receives a notification explaining that the review concluded in their favor.
6. Anti–False Reporting Measures
To maintain system fairness, the following protections are implemented:
- Reports from coordinated groups in the same match count as one combined report.
- Players who frequently submit invalid or malicious reports receive reduced reporting power or penalties.
- The system uses behavioral data and match analytics to supplement player reports, reducing reliance on player bias.
