Anti-Cheat News

Attention Mercenaries,
The following report is a brief summary of our continued efforts against hacking during the month of September.

The most detected hack this month was the wall hack (ESP/Wall). Aimbots that work with wall hacks were also frequently found.
We will continue to monitor new trends and take actions as soon as we've found them. Our goal is to make sure that all users enjoy a fair and pleasant play environment.
Thank you,
CrossFire Team

You need to change the anti cheat and not show to us graphs which we do not know if their are true or not. You have a long way to go, you better start working on that road as the servers are not that full since your last mistake from CF PASS to ban people for a glitch which was in the game. You will need to:
FIX THE GAME!!!!!!!
The servers are lagging, on the ranked servers you do not have any switch at all. Cheaters everywhere on pretty much every game, do not matter if it is public or ranked. Tick rate is still not fixed. I mean I can go on until tomorrow about how many flaws are in the game. All the best from Baba_Yaga_CF

Cool, I hope i will see a post like this every month or maybe even week from now on.
98% in game hack reports sounds so nice but if the anti-cheat didn't detect the hacks used i doubt theres someone manually checking those.
Blocks vs Kicks Ehh.. for this one I believe there are a lot of false positives since I've been getting those "Disallowed program detected" messages sometimes despite not using anything illegal or that should interfere with the game in any bad way. So assuming a huge percent of that number are false positives that statistic doesn't prove much.
6% blocks seems like a really low percent to the average crossfire player. We want to see that number go up and not only that, we want to see actual results.
This could become something similar to PUBGs weekly ban notice where they even show the names of the players banned during that week with the exception of the first three letters which are replaced with "*"

Over the past 14+ years of playing Crossfire West, I’ve observed several ongoing issues that continue to negatively impact the game’s integrity and player experience. These are not isolated incidents—they reflect long-term problems that require serious attention:
1. Hackers and Inadequate Anti-Cheat Measures
While it’s clear that cheating is still rampant, the core problem isn’t just a weak anti-cheat system. The deeper issue lies in the lack of serious consequences for cheaters:
-
Players who are banned can easily create new accounts the same day, with no IP, ISP, or hardware bans in place.
-
As a result, ban waves are ineffective, and cheating continues largely unchecked.
2. Rank Boosting and Match Abuse
Another serious issue is the abuse of public and ranked matchmaking:
-
Players frequently team up with friends or alternate accounts to boost their ranks—especially on weekends (Friday to Sunday).
-
This activity makes it nearly impossible for legitimate players to climb the ranks fairly.
-
Since GMs and moderators cannot be online 24/7, relying solely on player reports is ineffective and does not lead to accurate or timely results.
3. Bot Accounts, K/D Farming, and Virtual Machines
There is a widespread problem with:
-
K/D and other mission/ribbons farming against bot accounts.
-
Players using virtualization software like VMware to run multiple instances, bypass bans, or exploit the system.
-
Micro-automation and third-party tools are still active and largely undetected.
4. Exploits and Bugs Left Unreported
Many bugs are intentionally left unreported by players for personal gain. These include:
-
Website crate bugs, pass glitches, and other exploit-based advantages.
-
The lack of proper incentives or protection for bug reporting allows these issues to persist.
5. Server and Performance Issues
Despite the game’s age, server infrastructure still lacks investment:
-
The tick rate and overall server stability remain poor, causing lag and desync issues.
-
Servers in use today are likely not even costing low Mosdest $500 - $1000/month, suggesting minimal spending on backend improvements.
-
North American players struggle to find matches due to a lack of active servers, often being forced to play on EU servers, which increases ping and affects gameplay.
Conclusion:
Crossfire West continues to face serious and long-standing issues that damage its competitive integrity and overall experience. Cheating, exploitation, server instability, and unbalanced matchmaking have been present for over a decade. Without meaningful enforcement measures (such as hardware/IP bans, server upgrades, and stricter match monitoring), these problems will continue to discourage both new and veteran players from engaging with the game.
