Just a supporters prespective

Hello Crossfire Team

My IGN is Natural I've been a big supporter of the game for years now like many others and I wanted to share our perspective( not speaking for everyone of course Just me and the number of big supporters I talked to )

This post is directed towards the Dev team to try to bring their attention to the perspective of big spenders, it is to point out something that might harm the games profits, it's understandable and normal for the majority of people to not be able to relate to this post since it doesn't address the average player experience or troubles in the game.

Crossfire has been a big part of my life and I do not regret having played this game for almost 15 years, the memories and friendships we made through the game have been something I am glad for tho unfortunately I and a number of people will be stop buying the amounts of zp we used to and here's why:

-The never ending loop of rereleasing things much cheaper causing frustration instead of weapon diversity
It is true that no gun or skin is meant to have an Actual value in the game however the community seeing certain skins as unique and vintage is what drives collectors like me to spend money to obtain them, when these skins are hardly obtainable through low winrate crates for years then suddenly they get released in citrine like the Eternal Dragon, Celestial Dragon or Gold Black dragon collection now and previously the Rising dragon, Abyssal dragon and Aureate dragon    It Just sends a clear message to big spenders which is: Do not buy crates anymore, Not from the boxing week, Black friday, webshop discounted crates or Choice crates since every skin seems to be coming to citrine for so much less.

from one point of view you might see it as giving different categories of spenders a chance to experience different guns however this won't be the result. everyone who obtains these skins from citrine Just tosses them back in storage and gets back to using the guns we all know everyone uses these days.
What ends up actually happening is that people who spent so much to obtain these guns and still used them despite the lower advantage feel ripped off and less motivated to spend money on the game, mostly not even feeling like using the guns anymore.
you are currently discouraging every big spender from spending money on anything but citrine which is not good for the game profits

For the last few years our players have been stuck in the meta, everyone has been using pretty much the same guns QBZ, COP, USP, VIP G36, M200, KAR etc. Not because there aren't other guns that look good or are interesting but due to a big advantage those meta guns offer compared to the other guns, the game has Always had very nice skins of so many guns that are buried due to having, slower reload or no wallbang compared to their noble or VIP counterparts, It's a reality we've come to accept and are trying to get around

Point is.. the lack of variety in what people use is not due to the lack of good skins or good skins being hard to obtain, it's due to the huge difference in stats between the meta guns and the rest, if you wish to motivate people to spend money to obtain different guns you will need to address the issue of balancing older guns in comparison to the current meta

I am all for having a cheaper opportunities but it doesn't have to feature the old skins people spent so much to obtain, it can Just feature new skins given that Crossfire has an Endless amount being released monthly, you can keep every category of spenders happy by letting older guns remain only obtainable from the same crates they've always been in.

    I can only agree.

A fix to that would be great.

im not big collector although i have stacked storage and really wanted to complete one of those collections cuz i have half of the collection from blackmarket but seeing those boxes is absolute shocking for both sides spenders or regular players
seeing everything always become insanely cheap or easily obtainable or different variant skin of the original one make the hard obtained weapon/skin lose its shine ( and here im talking about the old rare guns/skins ) thats one of the reason why people love meta guns more beside that compared to OG weapons got no chance
the game is fun but need better decisions.
  • These decisions to recycle old collections in Citrine are so unfair and make no sense, The crates are added in the Blackmarket first then they are featured in blackfridays and boxing week events for everyone to have an equal chance at obtaining them, eventually some were featured in higher winrate Choice crates and it was still okay but to then add them in citrine makes Zero sense.... everyone who spends  alot of money on old skins feels absolutely ripped off because they truly were

Stop adding old guns to citrine and Just add new skins or else everyone who spends money on crates will STOP... Big collectors are good for the game and constantly upsetting them by recycling all the old collections they spent a ton of money on through cheaper to obtain methods will Just cause all of them to spend much less or nothing at all.

The newer users don't care about the old skins they need new skins anyway, you have ways to obtain money from both categories of players while keeping both happy, Only add new skins in citrine and new high winrate crates while keeping Old skins in the usual crates they were always in.

I totally agree to the post of Natural.
The insane part is that the weapons of those crates were often way more expensive than the vip weapons due to the low winrate.

The "collection nametags" were really special. Even better if the reward from a collection was a weapon.
But now the choice boxes have arrived. These boxes are great and should always have existed, but putting theses old special weapons in there breaks my heart and killed my motivation to pursue those weapons.

Something similar (but unrelated to the choice boxes) happened with the infinity weapons. They released, looked shiny and special and made me spent money on them. But than it hit me when they got re-released with a few better perks. The question: Why did i spent money on them in the first place? Why should i spent now, when i know that there will be better versions? Maybe on top of that as an event to get them easier?

It was mentioned that we put the state of this game aside. But should we? There are events we can do but getting a disconnect or code error almost at the end of a game fuels my mind with hatred.
Spending money a weapon to test/play with them ingame just to get spit in the face with errors.

I keep playing Crossfire because of my childhood, nostalgia and more importantly the worth of the inventory I have accumulated. Becuase of the choice boxes with the old weapons and zp weapons that get put into the GP-blackmarket my mindset of keep playing Crossfire lowers drastically.

So to the question "why should I spend on this game?" comes the question: why should I keep playing? The weapons i have gathered have no worth. That means fun should be able to keep me playing right? Wrong. There will be a error right around the corner to beat the teath out of my face.

I already started to look away from Crossfire and play different games. Why should i spent it here?
I started playing Hollow Knight 2 weeks ago and the result? Better spent a way smaller fortune on good indie-games. My chains to keep playing this game have been loosend up.

  • I’ve spent a lot on this game too, and seeing old rare skins pop up in Citrine for cheap just kills the hype Feels like all the effort and money we put in is wasted I Wish the devs would keep old exclusives in their original crates and balance the older guns so we actually get variety instead of everyone using the same meta

  • You hit the nail on the head. Spending used to feel like an achievement—you’d chase rare crates, grind events, and feel proud owning exclusive items. Now, that excitement is gone because everything comes back so easily through Citrine.
    Great post
  • The issue isn’t about offering cheaper options.
it’s about maintaining value and respect for those who supported the game from the beginning.
Citrine is great, but it should be about new content, not giving away the old rare stuff.
