Dear Crossfire Development Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a concern that has been affecting the gaming experience for many players, including myself. Recently, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of cheaters within the game, which significantly impacts the fairness and enjoyment of gameplay.

As an avid player who deeply appreciates the effort and dedication your team puts into maintaining and improving Crossfire, it is disheartening to see such issues go unresolved. Cheating not only undermines the competitiveness of the game but also discourages honest players from continuing to engage with the platform.

I kindly suggest that additional measures be implemented to combat this growing problem, such as:

  1. Enhanced Anti-Cheat Software: Upgrading or integrating more advanced anti-cheat systems to detect and eliminate cheaters more effectively.
  2. Regular Monitoring: Increasing the frequency of monitoring player behavior to quickly identify and address suspicious activities.
  3. Community Reporting Improvements: Simplifying the reporting process and ensuring that action is taken promptly based on community feedback.
  4. Stricter Penalties: Enforcing more severe consequences for those found cheating, which will serve as a deterrent for potential violators.

I believe that addressing these issues will greatly improve the overall player experience and maintain the integrity of the game. I trust that your team will take the necessary steps to resolve this matter, and I look forward to seeing a more secure and enjoyable Crossfire environment.

Thank you for your attention to this issue, and I am confident that with your continued commitment, Crossfire will remain one of the best games in its genre.

Sincerely,
DarkVenom

  • Enhanced Anti-Cheat Software: Upgrading or integrating more advanced anti-cheat systems to detect and eliminate cheaters more effectively.
Anti cheat software is a game of cat and mouse. Anti cheat gets added, it stops the cheaters for a while, then they find a way around it. There are some anti cheats out there that really invasive on people's pc (Valorant's anti cheat). This is a temporary band aid solution.

Regular Monitoring: Increasing the frequency of monitoring player behavior to quickly identify and address suspicious activities.
GMs spoke about this solution before. They don't have enough people/budget to do this. There is also room for human error and banning an innocent player. Such as if, someone thinks their killer shot them behind a wall, but it's really a ping issue. Then someone will be innocently banned.

Community Reporting Improvements: Simplifying the reporting process and ensuring that action is taken promptly based on community feedback.
You gotta add onto this point. What do they need to simplify during the reporting process exactly? Also promptly banning people if they don't check evidence carefully enough will ban an innocent player. Ensuring action is taken based on community feedback, do you mean banning someone if enough people point and accuse someone of cheating? Need more details.

Stricter Penalties: Enforcing more severe consequences for those found cheating, which will serve as a deterrent for potential violators.
GMs already ban them. What other severe consequence do you have in mind? How much more punishment can a GM do to a banned player?

Do not take this as personal attack. I'm not criticizing you, just your points. I am providing my feedback on how you can improve your points and for you to consider other possible solutions.
  • Venom, I hate to be the one to say this, but this was probably made through ChatGPT.. I get the points, but.. Nothing really is helping on this front.. And not to mention, Ninja is right on each counterpoint.
