unable to write square Brackets!

hi everyone, i know how to write square brackets and it works on my pc and keyboard [] <-- here is the proof.
but unfortunately it just doesnt work ingame! when i try to write it it just doesnt work...its so annoying...
somebody know whats the problem?
i already changed the keyboard settings from english to german and it didnt help!
