Event Format

With the prospect of competition increasing in 2014 as well as the consistent International events each year, I have been doing some light research into the Pros/Cons of adapting a majority of ESG events to the same kind of "rounds" format as the WCG/CFS rule set. WCG/CFS rule sets are a "First to 10 rounds" format, where matches are obviously much faster and a lot shorter than our traditional 7 or 9 round "max rounds" format.

From my point of view, adopting the First to 10 rounds format would help condition our teams better towards that faster game pace that is frequently seen in the International events. Being more conditioned to adapt earlier in the game rather than later in the game is something I think would be very beneficial to any potential teams trying to compete for these major events.

Thoughts & opinions are welcomed. I want to hear from everyone in the competitive community as much as possible. Outline pros/cons, whether you are for/against this kind of change, your reasons, etc. Thanks everyone!
