Interesting

It's both interesting and heart-warming to see the forum so active, now when people have something to spew their hate on.;):p:D

There is clearly no truth in that the game is dying, as so many people complain about the game not working. Maybe we need this kind of breakdown more often to make the forum more active and disprove doomsayers.

By the way, even the GM's don't seem to know anything about the server situation right now, as the techs aren't telling them anything. So this time they aren't to blame for anything. Be angry at the techs and at the company, who buys/rents cheap crappy stuff. Maybe it would be a good idea to actually check through recent forum-threads, before you fling your hate at the wrong people.

  • Whenever we have issues GMs always state that "This is not our job", "We are not responsible" , "There is another department who deals with this issue". So I wonder: Who is the real responsible? And why we can't have direct contact? We need to adress to someone who will listen to us, talking to GMs is like speaking to a deaf person. All these years "blah blah we are working on it, we are not responsible blah blah". Well, if you can't do nothing why we are contacting you?
I always disliked how CF is managed (copy-paste from CF China, robotic answers on tickets, money milking, ignoring the community) and now once again GMs who state they cant do anything blaming IT team, anticheat team, developers. So dear GMs, if you can't help, bring someone on forum who can. Have someone from the IT team inform us about the game, what is the situation, why we cant play in our servers and when they are going to fix them. Posting "We are working on it" since GM Saidin, has become obsolete and I consider it laughable.

i was active before, only if i have other games with heavy grind events, then i was inactive in forum, but mostly i read the newest threads here, like i said it in a other Thread its time that We Playerbase gonna Strike for 1 or 2 Months and dont recharge 1 zp in order to get the Gms and this Company again Active, when i see it that 995 users bought premium pass (i did it this month too, and i regret it even it was my first premium pass) with that alone they made 995x 30euros= 29850 euros they did alone with premium pass alone that are arround 34375,26 USD for Premium Passes alone, and still even it pays their paycheck of this company they dont really care at all, not even informing us actually, even last 2 Days the announcement says after the yellow writing for autumn weekend it says " we know about the issues with Mena Server just play on NA Servers" there was even to lazy to write and Eu Servers, or they dont care about it, all i can hope is for players now that we stand together and dont recharge any Zp for next months in order to force them to get in contact with us (playerbase) again. and even when already recharged dont use BF, when they dont get transactions over it forces them to get more attractive deals to us
  • I still think that GM's should contact the server or tech department and demand an explanation. So they can inform us.
But yeah in the corporate world everything takes ages. :(

Before I say anything else, I have to say that the communication line between those who run CF and it's players are one of the worst I have ever seen.
    But...

One problem is that many people doesn't seem to know how things work in online-gaming companies and expect too much of the wrong people. I have never worked with it my self, but I have friends that have worked as GM's both in legit games and private servers. It doesn't really matter what games they are, they usually are built up pretty much the same, when it comes to how they are run.

    1. You usually have a specific department who deals with players directly (Be it in forums or support). Sometimes they have limited or semi-limited power to do stuff in game, but most usually, can only send information to other departments, that can do stuff.
    2. You have a technical department, that administrates (overlooks) the game. They can do easier stuff, like run some events, give out stuff that are already in the game, ban players, run ready-made updates etc.... Sometimes they have direct access to the servers, but more usually...
    3. You have a server department that runs the servers. If there are multiple servers, they can be spread out in different countries. These people and the servers don't need to be part of the company, just a rented service.
    4. A developer department, that do the coding (those that program the updates the Technical departments run. They usually have no contact with players and won't do anything major without the OK from the owners. Usually that means, the most cost-effective thing. Prioritize what gives income.
    5. A thing that CF really needs. An in game department, that can check out and punish cheaters directly.

These departments can themselves be cut up in lesser departments. It depends on the game, what title they have.

The ones that they call GM's in this game seams to be a combination of 1 and 2.

What I am trying to say: "Is there any reason/meaning to scold the school-janitor, when your kids are getting bad grades in English". Just being angry and flinging hate towards someone who can't do anything about the problem, just because you can't reach the one who are to blame.
It's the same mentality when people who are angry at the government, sets fire to their neighbors car, just because.

Sorry for double posting if any mod sees this, but Quake posted while I was writing the answer to the others.

Yeah, I haven't recharged since April I think. I think the higher ups in the company are debating if they are going to buy into HD and therefor don't know if they want to spend any major cash on this game. To just run it with bare minimum costs, until they switch games.

So true! This is the best comment I have read on this forum in a long time.

You are a very sensible person who can understand the limits of a role and the tasks and responsibilities that a person can and is authorized to carry out within an organization.

Note: You know that controversy and everything that causes negative emotions generate some rating (it has much impact) and attracts attention. TV Shows know that very well.

sure, its every its own opinion, but when gms say, they can help you out with account questions, or event problems, cant even controll Cheater infestation, cant have anything to say to servers, cant do help besides bugs, cant communicate with the community so what is it besides to use Adminstrations codes to give themselves thoursands of crates/zp and spin for it for a stream, or just even to get in winner list or be immortal to damage with Admin Codes, what even some admin in his own stream had to check if he had it turned off. so if you were really a mod please explain em what a admin role should be, that cant do anything, cant write anything and just get stuff for free cuz of the role, even you think to be in the "middle" of it its in my view just ridiculousto cuz to see someone what can get crates/zp with just pressing some keys something isnt interesting, neither to play with it since other cf versions are felt 4 years ahead and there anough reviews of the stuff already, and with other word to bait players then in hope to see that admins can win with that many crates.

but yeah you can have other opinion, and even then to fully understand how the situation is then you should have been 10- 5 years ago here already then you would understand

The school janitor/English teacher comparison doesn't fit in this particular situation. One of the roles of a GM is to be informed about situations and to communicate actively to the community. It's more like a head master/English teacher: if a parent comes to the head master in regards to a grade his/her kid got in English, the head master should be up-to-date and properly inform the parent. No, the head master doesn't have the power to change the grade, but should be able to properly communicate why this certain grade was given. Just like the GM's aren't responsible over maintaining the servers, but are responsible for communicating as to how the server issues were caused and how the server team is planning to fix them. There should be a open line of communication between departments, specifically in a situation like this, since the time that has passed clearly implies these are not server issues we've previously had.

The only reason we have people "spewing hate" on forum is because of the lack of communication. GM's leave too much room to speculate about when the issue is fixed and what that means for ranked/mercenary pass etc. People are even speculating about doomsday scenarios like closure of the version.

You could be bang on about this and what you say about not buying zp is the wisest move at this time.
Maybe no one actually really knows what is happening higher up and they are all running around like headless chickens.
I have no clue how it all works. What i do see is just so wrong on every level.
In the meantime,I cannot play on Beta because of too many errors so I am forced to play on na with its lags, and just look at na... 2 channels full and that's it.
People are giving up on the game. Our clan only had about 30 active members this past week. Not good, not good at all.

Using the head-master comparison would be kind of the same as the janitor one for people from Sweden like me, except that the head-master is the teachers boss. Head-master's here usually has no idea about the students from what I have experienced. I think they only do the economic stuff, the hiring of teachers and ordering papers and such. (and of course is the face of the school). I have only experienced one head-master that went out into the class-rooms and checked on students. He was really hated by the teachers.

The GM's maybe is supposed to be the link between company and players, but when it comes to this situation, it seems they aren't told, even if they are asking questions. Or being told by their bosses to shut-up.

I have nothing against people complaining in this situation. The people I mean are the ones here that creates accounts just to write out pretty hateful comments. Also the ones that let's their first forum post be a total hate-tirade against one or all the GM's because the servers don't work. Also generally (meaning not just about this situation) people screaming in threads that they get no information at all and that it's everyone's fault but their own, when the information is often in a forum-thread, just above or sometimes in the same thread, just one page previous.

What I think is funny, is that the same people complaining what a bad, crappy game this is, get furious when they can't play it. Also that people only seem to care, when something goes wrong.

Yeah, I am not going to play at all except maybe some solo ZM-ranked until this is fixed. Time for some solo RPG's.

I would have to agree. Some of the complaints are completely out of order and most of this situation is probably out of the hands of the GM's. But, considering the situation, the knife cuts both ways, frustration is understandable. I'm glad we get to see both sides in this thread.
