sound problem

hey I got a new laptop and I cant hear everything when I shoot and footstep but i can hear music and radio messages and some effects any solutions please

Did you check your sound settings? You might have them turned off.

You might've sound effects turned off in your settings in game. Go to settings icon in the top right corner when in lobby > sound > sound effects and check "yes"

This is a codec issue. CrossFire's sound is based on Windows Media Player. You should have to install WMP, even if you don't use it; otherwise, you won't have sound in-game.

There's a codec on it that CF requires for use.

The Media Feature Pack for N versions of Windows 10 is available for download as an Optional Feature. You need to install the correct version, depending on the specifications of your PC: Version of Windows (You said to me: Windows 10 2004 and X64-based PC). And there is bad news for you: Microsoft only allows you to install that until version 1903. Later, it's already through Windows Update.
