The secret EXP gain (?)

Hi folks, I've a simple but direct question. By looking at the EXP ranking weekly and monthly, I see that some guys are able to gain alooooot of EXP. So the question is if everyone is farming somehow or people are able to obtain so much EXP through the EXP-tree (obviously the tree is a joke). Maybe I'm missing out on some secret way to obtain EXP..

You'd be surprised at the power of money in this game. A full VIP set (7 primaries, 7 pistols, 7 melees, 1 character) plus max EXP-increasing cosmetics and a full EXP ring set gives you something like +4,000% EXP. That's 40x more than you normally get. Stack that with the weekend party hot time event of +800% and you get upwards of 50x normal EXP gain.
