can u lose ranked rank

can u lose ur rank on ranked match s&d if u dont play for a while? And if so how does it work?

  • If you do not play for 13 days, you will lose a full point as I remember
  • Normally whenever you derank its 1 level and half and you have 2 weeks to play before you derank but that depends on your rank, some ranks only have 1 week. In past the two weeks used to be up to platinum, anything above that was 1 week. Right now i think legend has 2 weeks and grand master 1 week.
Note that 2 weeks of inactivity is enough to derank you once but on top of that if you don't play for another week you will derank again and so on. (atleast thats how it used to be)
If you haven't played for weeks you will always derank on the last day of season when the patch happens even if you open the rank tab or not.

    Yes, you can.

It depends on your rank level. The higher the rank level you are on (G. Master, Top), the more points you will lose for inactivity. That way, if you are at the top, you cannot be inactive — even for 3 days — and expect to be successful in that system; otherwise, you will lose many points just for that "error" of not playing the game. Therefore, you will have less time to be idle (the higher the rank level = the less downtime there will be).

you can be inactive for more than 3 days at grand master and not derank

You may lose your rank because of inactivity (15, 7, 3 days; it depends on your rank level). And once you open a ranked match —when you haven’t played for “X” days — you get deranked. The rank doesn’t change on your profile until you open that system (Ranked Match).
