VIP Guns Balancing
Hello,
I know this post will lead to nothing and many people will bash me for that, but I´m getting so frustrated from time to time so I need a place to write it all down.
I think Crossfire as a fair and competitive game went downwards with the release of the VIP Guns, ( in particullar the M4 Series).
Its ridicoulisly overpowered, wallbang, nearly no recoil, fast firing rate, fast reload time, heck even my 92 year old grandma could wreck on public with it.
Ranked mode is flooded with tryhards who think they are shroud with their from head to toe Vip Equipment.
And I dont even want to start about the destruction of the Mutation and Hero Modes, as a big fan of those its nearly impossible to have a nice game without a couple of lagging, mutation vest wearing and AA12 or Gatling Gun wielding maniacs in it.
Heck, the Gatling Gun should be renaimed in Laser Gun.
well I could go on, but I want to spare you the details, I know many of the oldschool cf players will understand me, and If not, its just my opinion..

You Are Right...
If you feel strongly about things then you are right to speak out.
And let them bash your post if they think they are qualified to.
Crossfire VIP weapons were a good idea to generate more money.
Now however almost every weapon could be made into some kind of VIP.
That takes the VIP'ness away from the point of the VIP in the first place.
Also they give temp VIP weapons to players from time to time to try and tempt them to get VIP weapons for themselves.
If they NERF any VIP weapons that you bought for money after you bought them you would feel cheated.
I have lots of VIP weapons and I cant shoot for "you know what" with any of them:(
Its not the weapon that makes the player its the player.
Sorry for the long post but we're locked up so what else is there to do?
Hope they spend this time on sorting a new anti cheat....that would balance the game some:) -

I play this game for 10 years now just for fun.
I left and i returned to the game alot of times, but since VIP release i think (my opinion) people pay for "hacks". They could make VIP wep with better skins, alot of bonuses.
But they just ruined the game. I have the same opinion that u! Its not fun to play CF anymore. -
It's true that these VIP weapons are broken but imo Crossfire does not need to be a balanced game. I can assure you that even if all the weapons are very balanced this game would still not be popular in the west. Instead, it's a good idea to focus on the remaining playerbase and give what they need. It's almost like op weapon is one of the selling points of crossfire. If someone truly wants to play a competitive FPS with good balance and skill only they would have played CS:GO instead.
Also VIP weapons don't guarantee skill. The game still maintains some competitiveness despite all the op weapons
(ie. there are people make it to master+ with plain AK)
The reason why this game is so popular in China is because nobody complains about balancing. They just want to have fun and play the game. I am actually glad this game is not popular in NA otherwise every day we would be seeing 20 reddit posts complaining about balance. Maybe some need to realize this game is just not for them.
To summraize, they have no reason to nerf VIP weapons. The game does not need to be extremely balanced. You can still compensate lack of VIP weapon with skill. Plenty of free weapons are decent. -
They are called VIPs for a reason. CrossFire doesn't need to be "balanced" and "not pay to win", it is fun the way it is and anyways, you get most of these fast reload time, quick draw and wallbang effects from other weapons as well that you can get for free by playing the game (in 2020, back then you didn't have much choice).
Have you even played with the AA-12 VIP? I have it and I can tell you it is bad in HMX compared to real JHP-bullet weapons, mutants can simply walk in you no matter how much you hold down the left click because it doesn't slow them down the way it should.
And Gatling Gun is pretty powerful but how can you nerf it without completely destroying it? (not that I am a fan of nerfing weapons that tons of people paid for - that is the most shitty thing) -
A solution to your problem about playing s&d without seeing vip. You can create rooms with a password with friends or clan and play without vip. I don't think it's a big problem.
-1 making GG Wild Shot as powerful as a vip. How do you say this and there are people who buy real money this is not fair with them ofc -

I sort of agree with most of your sentiments. It took me 9 years before I bought my first VIP. Been playing since 09. But remember before VIPs everyone complained about m12s and scar light. There have always been op weapons if you really think about it. Unfortunately a level playing field in game does not make money it seems and that is what it's all about.

I dont see a problem with vips anymore, if you rlly want balanced weapons go to a mode where you dont bring you weapon (EM, WM, Arms deal, ...)
And like others mentioned you dont need a rare gun to beat a vip/op wep player. Better aim is more powerful than a better gun. -
Crossfire was never a fair competitive game lol.
It was always pay2win and will ever be cause its free2play. Back in the days even BP was considered p2w cause you got it so rarely without spending money, hell even the deagle camo was forbidden in comp. play because of the fast reload speed. If you have a little bit gamesense its not that hard to play against vip. Well 99% of the cf player base doesnt even know how to aim corners or hold a bombspot. -
This is just not true, and you are making excuse for being bad at the game, many guns in CF that are OP are NOT VIP guns, from M4A1-SRPING, M4A1-ROYAL DRAGON, M12S, TMP, EVO, MTs-255,687 EDP slug shot guns, and all the COPs, VIP will make you a better player but it doesn't make you great. You can still see many ex-pros destroying ppl with CFS AK. I think you are just not happy with the fact that some ppl have VIP guns and you do not. But I think you are very lucky to have a 92 yr old grandma, stay safe.
