I tried to start the game today i got this error message. I re downloaded and reinstalled just now I still get the same error message.

Now when I try to uninstall I then get this. PLEASE HALP

Instead of uninstalling, completely delete all the files you have on your PC then try installing the game again and see if it works.

If it works, but still have the invalid version issue, do the following:

Go to your CF File where the files are located, and find a file called "version.ini". Open it with notepad is possible. When opened, look for the text called "LastestVersion = xxxx" the x being the number of the current CF version. Before the March patch, you should change the number to "1352". Save the file and run CF again to see if it works.

This happened to me a couple days ago and after trying everything and failing I randomly tried my vpn and I was able to launch the game normally, but im pretty sure I got banned for using it so be careful.

So im using a public computer, and when Im trying to change the content of the version notepad and save. It says I do not have permission to save please contact the admin. i do not know to bypass this, I have the admin password tho. PLease halp!!!!

HEY i got to the log in screen and now it says Failed yo connect to server even tho the servers are online.

i have tried this but it says that im unauthorized to save, any ideas please.

If you don't have permission to save, try saving a copy to your desktop and then moving it from there.
Windows can be a bit iffy with permissions sometimes.

For failed to connect, try restarting your router and checking to make sure any antivirus or firewall isn't blocking the games access to the internet.

Also having this error since yesterday, what exactly causes this?

So i tried to change the File but I have no permission so I just deleted it and started the patcher again and it worled just fine

[USER="26494763"]Waiwio[/USER] What is the current "latest version" number? There is virtually no way to find it withopu a friend who also plays (which I don't have) So I'm unable to find out. I also get this error but only after I've launched it once. It works fine after a PC restart once. If I close it and open it again it shows me that error. Thing is I've already tried pretty much everything even deleting te version.ini which also didn't work.

So yeah any way to find out the latest "latest version" number on your own?

Edit: my "Latest version" says "1364" so I'm assuming it's already updated and the number you snet in doesn't work anymore.
