A review of every CFS team
Some fairly massive changes this year and several unexpected turn of events. Carbon was automatically disqualified and 3 of their team members were permanently banned from competitive play. LCK won't be attending CFS this year because their team has visa issues. Mexico will not be in the competitive map pool anymore and will instead be replaced with Compound giving Chinese teams a massive advantage this year at CFS ...
Weirdly enough we won't be seeing many other regions this year such as Indonesia (who cares ?), Philippines, Russia and Vietnam,. Maybe we'll get a Filipino team next year once Crossfire Philippines transitions their publisher to Smilegate ...
Team: All Gamers
Line-up: Lsn (Leader), Bean (Sniper), TMQ, ZQ, ZY
Comments: Lsn is back and he was a legendary leader behind All Gamers in the past. With powerhouse players like TMQ and ZQ along with Bean who is one of the best snipers in all of crossfire they are a top tier team that could once again claim CFS championship.
Strongest Map: Compound
Weakest Map: Port
Team: All Talents
Line-up: nLs (Leader), MooN (Sniper), Loones, Forty, vizee
Comments: Some of their former team members were from PENTA Sports so there might be a chance that they could make it out of the group stage especially since the match ups are more favourable.
Strongest Map: Doesn't matter
Weakest Map: Doesn't matter
Team: Anubis Gaming
Line-up: Youssef (Leader), Snare (Sniper), Monkey, Snake, Hossam
Comments: Still one of the weaker batches by far out of CFS this year.
Strongest Map: Doesn't matter
Weakest Map: Doesn't matter
Team: BaiSha Gaming
Line-up: Even (Leader), TF (Sniper), XqLuN, baby, zzhy
Comments: Even and TF are very well known players in competitive crossfire. We saw a little bit of zzhy who's just decent for the most part and we saw quite a bit baby far back into the past. They may be a 3rd place Chinese team but they'll still prove to be a very challenging team to beat as showed in a recent invitational in a close match up against Vincit Gaming and a change to a more favourable map pool makes them far more formidable ...
Strongest Map: Compound
Weakest Map: Port
Team: Black Dragons
Line-up: vianna1 (Leader), Goken (Sniper), pANcada, nottziN, adrF
Comments: The CFS champions from last year. Goken is a solid pick for a sniper and pANcada is very capable as he showed us last year at CFS on the INTZ team.
Strongest Map: Unknown
Weakest Map: Compound
Team: Golden V
Line-up: SEVEN (Leader), phaze (Sniper), bL4ME, DeNis, Jin
Comments: With both KREEDZ and especially Snox out of the picture this team is relatively easy pickings up against Brazilian or Chinese teams. Will Europe ever win an international title ?
Srongest Map: Port
Weakest Map: Compound
Team: Imperial
Line-up: Felippe1 (Leader), GDSZ (Sniper), DANIMAL, Wil, nenemz
Comments: This is DANIMAL and Wil's new team. Felippe1 is most likely the leader and nenemz has made several appearances in international tournaments.
Strongest Map: Unknown
Weakest Map: Compound
Team: KINGZONE
Line-up: Brando (Leader), 15oL (Sniper), Michael, Ying2, Coda
Comments: It is currently the best that North America has to offer in the absence of Carbon.
Strongest Map: Unknown
Weakest Map: Compound
Team: Lazarus
Line-up: Logic (Leader), imtoonie (Sniper), Albert, ERICK, LEEVES
Comments: Probably the weakest team in this tournament by a massive margin and they replaced Carbon's spot for CFS.
Strongest Map: Unknown
Weakest Map: Compound
Team: Super Valiant Gaming
Line-up: MZiN (Leader/Sniper), 4mE, N9, DBQ, Yazhe
Comments: The champions of WGC 2019 and the leading team of this year. While 18 did leave the team we have a returning superstar player such as 4mE who has been a champion multiple times in the past. Their fifth member is not all that strong so they'll definitely face some roadblocks to reclaiming CFS championship title this year.
Weakest Map: Port
Team: Vincit Gaming
Line-up: Ryuzao (Leader), dgz (Sniper), mazin, mNdS, Lukaum
Comments: Finished second place in the Brazilian CFS finals. One of the stronger teams in this tournament.
Strongest Map: Unknown
Weakest Map: Compound

This tournament is stacked - at first I thought Compound was going to be an insurmountable advantage for the Chinese teams, but since quarters are now BO3, I think the international teams might have a chance...
Replacing Mexico with Compound in the map pool effectively means that Chinese teams are able to eliminate their 2 least consistent maps in BO3 by banning Port as well. It means that foreign teams are forced to either play Compound if they're crazy enough to not ban it or Blackwidow which heavily favour Chinese teams. This in practice means that foreign teams HAVE to win BOTH Sub Base AND Ankara when facing against a Chinese team in a BO3 but Ankara has also traditionally been a good map for the Chinese teams ...
With this change in the map pool it is almost certain that we'll see SV in the finals and possibly AG too as well if they don't meet each other in the quarter or semi-finals ... -

Pretty interesting matches so far, sad to see NA's poor performance and no performance at all by CFES. Does anyone know why CFES didn't have a team? Also, what in the world happened to Carbon for them to have three players banned from competitive???
Some of Carbon's players broke the rules and CFES has shutdown so that's why you don't see them participate in CFS. Maybe in the next CFS tournament you could see them since we do now have Latin America servers ... -

Nope, they were denied the grand finals! China is getting worse in terms of performance as a region probably since CFPL as of recent (or possibly it's inception) seems to do jack to prepare them for CFS style tournaments but it's not like Tencent really gives much of a damn to improve their players when it comes to international competitiveness so they probably force all of their players in CFPL to use VIPs for the sake of advertising them so that more people but them ... -
