I think that player is asking to be banned, can't exactly feign ignorance as nazis are known world-wide.
If it was an south-east Asian server i could understand it as Hitler stole the swastika from south-east Asia. There it is still a symbol of happiness, luck and the sun. I know of friends who have been to Thailand and India and been shocked when they see young people wearing bling-bling Swastikas around the neck.
I myself was kind of shocked when i went to see my sisters daughter be baptized some years ago. I had never been to that church before (It was a little older church, maybe from 1600-1700 something). I was sitting almost sleeping when i got my eyes on a really old blanket that was draped over the altar, it was filled with swastikas. I didn't know Christians used them as a symbol for happiness too, back in the old times.
Here in Sweden we can't use almost any Viking/Runic symbols anymore, without being accused of being racist or nazi. As Hitler was found of using our symbols too.JackPain (Sweden) -

As it is a North American company that hosts the server, they will probably see it as a Nazi/Racist symbol and as they don't tolerate that, anyone using it will probably be banned, even if they haven't said so outright. If i were them, i wouldn't tempt fate with anything that can be seen as a provocation.
By the way, It's actually only the inverted Swastika that were used in connection with the Nazis, not the regular ones.
You are right about it not being prohibited all around the world. In actuality, there probably is very few countries that outright banns them. I know here in Sweden, they are not illegal (No matter what people seem to think). But if you would walk around with a Swastika t-shirt, you would be taken in by the police for Disorderly Conduct or Inciting Hatred. Having a Swastika flag up on the wall in your own home isn't prohibited here. I know, as a friend of mine collects WW2 memorabilia and has several, though the cops didn't look happy when they were at his place.JackPain (Sweden) -

If it is a clan symbol, it is made by the devs. I am pretty sure you can't just upload random images as clan symbols. -

You do realize that you can't exactly make your own clan symbols right? The OP was probably just seeing things, there's no swastikas in the game. -

Well if you see the above post, i write that i don't know, but thought you could make your own clan symbols as it's a pretty basic thing.
About if any Swastikas is in the game, i can confirm it too now. This morning at the start of the event, i played TDM Egypt and one player was in a clan with EU in it's name, their symbol was a rounded Swastika, i even took a screen-print, but sadly, i hadn't started Snapper, so when i took more screen-prints, it disappeared.JackPain (Sweden) -

I agree with your note that the swastika means lots of things in different countries and that the devs made it...the devs(smilegate)are from korea and in there the swastika means something with some ancient Buddhist temples,so maybe this the reason why they add it to the game(probably it was added first in CF China and then came to west without thinking to the end that the west version including variet players base from all over the world and that some may find it offensive)..
However I don't agree with what you said about "if z8 didn't say it forbidden,then it ok" - there are also no direct rules about lots of other things like "do not insult allah" or "do not talk about cf hd" or "do not abuse the free offer system" ..but it is a fact that people actually getting banned for it even if there is no official rule written down.
(P.S - also if you look properly you will see that the Korean Buddhist sign and the N.azi regime symbol are not even the same....the Korean one go from right to left and the n.azi one go from left to right) -

"allah" is censored ingame. CFHD is a different game. Talking about other projects is covered by the TOS. Do not abuse the free offers is a rule in the TOS. Maybe people should read them.
