Crossfire starts but doesn't load.
As the title said this is a Loading/Game error.
When I open the launcher and click on the play button the game "starts" but then it just gets stuck in the black screen with my pointer displaying "loading". When I try clicking the window it blurs out and says the game stopped responding.
Now the thing is I used to play Crossfire on this same PC a 2-3 years ago on the old version of the game "CFEU" and it worked somewhat fine.
When I first downloaded the game I managed to reach the loading screen and I successfully logged in, then I went to options to change the res and the mode in which the window was after that the game just died and I started having that problem.
Here's what I did to try and fix it but nothing worked:
I've FULLY reinstalled the game 2 times (Deleted the document file, the cache/file from appdata, the program folder itself and I uninstalled it via control panel)
I've tried running the game in compatibility mode for win8/7/XP/Vista you name it.
I've tried running it as an admin, locking it in 800x600 res, optimizing it via GeForce Experience, disabling Aero, disabling windows optimization etc..
Updated my drivers updated my windows, made sure that CF is the only program running and nothing worked.
I also have the most recent .NET Framework/DXD downloaded.
I've also made an exception in my firewall/anti-virus for the game folder.
My specs are: i7-6700k, GTX 950m (4gig) 16gb RAM.
My OS is Windows 10 Pro.
Like seriously what more do I need to do to be able to play this damn game again?

It's because the servers are ancient and haven't been properly upgraded in forever. Same thing happens to me, usually multiple times, ie. it'll CTD before the login box shows up, then I'll get in on the next attempt but it CTD's as soon as I try to go into my inventory or jump in a room. Sad thing is my current comp and internet connection are much better than what I had when I started playing back in 2013, yet the game ran better back then on a crappy Acer and a bog standard cable connection. That's also why there are terrible lag spikes; the servers just can't communicate with the users, and you get DC'ed out of the match, or sent back to the server selection or login menu. And that's AFTER getting through the CTD's.

Well in my case it doesn't crash to desktop it just fucking freezes and dies. I can't even say I'm lagging because I haven't been in the game yet lol.
And yeah exactly back then when I had a pc that nowadays couldn't open Chrome the game was working like a charm.
But anyways, what the hell do I do? -
Try another windows maybe?
I just upgraded to a SSD hard-drive and Windows 10 (from windows 7). Now the game takes longer to load, I have trouble with with the screen resolution every time i start the game, i have more errors and the FPS isn't as steady or as high as it used to be. As i have changed nothing else and an SSD shouldn't make loading a game slower, i have come to the conclusion that CF isn't really compatible with Windows 10.
Both the server hardware, the server software and the game-engine itself, needs to be upgraded for something newer. Not these small patches that sometimes helps a little for a week, then were back to the old problems. If they wan't CF-west to last longer than new-year, they need to invest a lot of cash for the future.JackPain (Sweden)
