Mystery Discount on Black Friday Sales

Hi, guys! I know there are still two more months until Black Friday, but I am too curious to know what exactly the Mystery Discount on Black Friday Sales does. Especially about how much zp off I can get for first completed purchase.

4. Mystery Discount
In addition to all of the above goodies, we are adding a cherry on top! Each one of you will have one mystery discount ticket. This ticket will give you an additional discount AFTER you complete a purchase that qualifies for a 30% or higher discount. The more items you add to your cart, the bigger mystery discount you can get, so maximize your chance by adding more items to your first cart!

In the topic below, someone claimed that he/she only received 3,000 zp off for 150,000 zp purchase.

I mean, really? Spending a whole 150k zp and only get as little as 3k zp off from it? I know even without this Mystery Discount thing, Black Friday Sales is still a pretty good deal, I shouldn't complaint too much. But since it was there and GMs were trying to make it a surprise for us, therefore, I am expecting to get at least 10,000 zp, which is not even 10% from 150,000 zp, as a off on Mystery Discount. GMs really are trying to make this discount ''mystery'', by not telling us exactly how much zp we can get back from spending, and the actual discount is rather disappointing.

Complaining isn't all, that topic above also indicated how Mystery Discount may works.

As our fellow forum member skyyblu stated, Mystery Discount may drop one of the lowest costed item after we completed our first purchase. I wonder if this is true? Can anyone who spent 150k zp last year and get his/her Mystery Discount prove this?
I'm thinking about spend 150k zp on this year's Black Friday Sales, and if the Mystery Discount is to drop one of the lowest costed item (which means I get zp back for how much I spend on this item only), it's best for me to spend all my zp on vips since vips worth the most. This means I can use the zp off from Mystery Discount (about 40k-50k if it drops the lowest costed vip) to buy crates and other low price items.
I want to get all permanent bags (if GMs put they on the lists) as well as some good crates, so I really want to know how Mystery Discount works exactly, by knowing this, I can update my shopping plan. Please help, thanks!

And I hope there is a Black Friday Sales this year.

I remember that I received around 1.2K or so for a 150K+ final purchase.
I do agree not disclosing details just make it vague and non attractive, but well it was the way the wanted to be.
So not sure how it really works but I dont recommend you to action the plan of getting only VIPs to see if you can get a higher mystery discount.
I think this is random and I can only say is based on how much different items you add in the cart.

Hope they can give us more information about this specific case if it makes a come back.

Thanks for that info.! I would keep track on this post, so hopefully, we can discover how Mystery Discount works exactly by the help of our fellow forum members at the end.

If it comes back this year, I will try to make either a video or post a screenshots of my purchase.
I remember now that I bought some single item crates last year and probably skyyblu may be right about his theory, so for this year if they do bring back mystery bonus I suggest that you place in your cart items that cost a considerable amount (avoid any items that have lower costs like single ones only).

Their theory can't be right since I bought 120 x Crates@ 500ZP ea + 108 Crates @ 500ZP ea + 1 x Slaughter Ticket (30) @ 13,800ZP. The mystery discount I got for that was 2,743 ZP.

If I were you I wouldn't worry too much about the mystery discount. It was extremely minuscule (around additional 1% off).
