GUIDE to beat SS [Nightmare]Elemental Temple

https://youtu.be/M-EmKQwnNng
Not the best recording but my only one.

3 Player Clear Version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=se-o...ature=youtu.be

Best choice of weapons:
1. M4-Laser
2. P-90-WildShot
3. AK-Buster-Gold/AA-12-Buster

Round 1
Skills - 2 Gloves, 6 Hammers (heal is useless with x5 lives if you know how to avoid most of the damage)
Gather up in the wood-floor area. Either backmost corner or corner that is connected to the bottom of the stairs. Zombies will all come in a straight line, easy kills.

Round 2 (Guardians)
Split the team into 2 groups, 4 ice - 4 fire. Each group should have 1 glove and 3 hammers.
The Guardians will always do Swipe-Swipe-Shoot attack pattern on the person with aggro. The person with aggro goes right up to it and circles around it to avoid the 2 Swipes. Shoot will always be in the direction person with aggro is facing so face away from your teammates while next to it. Stun with Hammer during the Shoot. Wait until it is getting up to use the Glove for maximum stun time.
  • Ice Guardian
    • After being Stunned or Grabbed for the first time, it will do an icecrash. you can move far away from it or dodge the first crash and use dash to guarantee resist the 2nd and 3rd crash or vice versa. Second time being stunned, it will do a multi jump aoe freeze, just jump when it jumps to avoid any damage. After aoe multi jump, it will do a charge which is another stun opportunity. It will just rotate between ice crash and multi jumps with ice crash being first. For big jumps, jump when there is a "ting" sound or something similar.
  • Fire Guardian
    • After Being Stunned or Grabbed, it will do either big outer circle fire inward to itself or small inner to outer. Just stay in mid range and if its outer first, go right next to it and wait for 2nd fire to hit then then dash to avoid the inner. If its inner first, wait for inner to hit then walk right up to it or dash.
    • *Warning* - I do not know if it is 100% a bug but small/inner first fires are insta kills. outer first is not which is why i believe it is a bug.
Round 3 (Final Boss)
KEEP IN MID AT ALL TIMES IN PURE RANDOM. Activate all crushers asap.
For some what coordinated teams - Have 1 person aggro it to cages(44,000 damage each). Stay mid range so it will chase you, too close causes attack, too far causes it to throw fire balls. Best i have gotten was 3 cages before a stun opportunity. After cages or when boss is near middle, activate the crushers, it causes bleed with each crusher doing 100 and adds 1 stack of bleed. each bleed stack deals additional 50 up to 30 stacks for 1500 per second. Crushers can hurt players as well, be sure to avoid them.
  • Grabs
    • Shoot the forearm to stun it, does not need the Hammer.
  • Fireballs
    • Stand still mid to far range and wait for boss to say "ARR", only then will a fireball come at you. When you hear "ARR", just move enough to the left or right to avoid. Best way to prevent players from getting stuck on each other.
  • AOE fire or Ice
    • Can be avoided by being against the wall when it is in the exact center.
  • "Pizza Slice" Fire
    • if the fire is on the lane you are standing on, dash almost immediately, if its on the other dash right when it hits that other side.
  • Balls
    • Starts when he is at x104 hp or below and another at x54 hp or below.
    • If balls reach the boss, it heals it. you can either kill it by shooting or blocking it that deals 10 hp of damage.
  • AOE Swing/Fire Breath
    • Boss will always be in or jump to the middle and pound his chest or roar before doing this, so whenever he jumps to mid, go close with hammer. These are Insta kills.
  • Guardian summons
    • summons fire at around x80 hp and ice at around x25 hp
    • keep these guardians far away from the boss otherwise it heals the boss. just keep running away near edge of map from the guardians, dont bother shooting at them, only avoid their hits.
As long as most of the players in the room knows these mechanics/rules/etc, SS Nightmare clears is just a matter of time not difficulty. Hope this will help spread knowledge of this map so i do not have to kick non experienced players and/or looking forever for a good room.

Comments

  • Agree with most, except for the 4:4 split, 1 glove and 1 hammer is easily enough. A card user and a medic can be useful instead.

MRN70PH.png we finish in 8-9 minutes every time.
  • I dont see a use for card when you can dodge most or just die. More card use, less damage delt. I personally have yet to die enough to put me into 40 sec respawn.

Nice gold M4-Laser. No luck getting mine yet.

Instant reload after deflect + allowing others to come closer due to predictable damage areas.

Also cages is best for guardians, not for boss. 5x hp damage is not worth getting pain in the ass to move boss in right position.

I havent had a problem with luring boss to at least 2 of the cages withing first 20 secs. 3rd and 4th if i do it perfectly and all 4 cages is around 13.5% of its hp. It just makes it faster. Guardians disappear anyways at certain boss hp so its a waste to aim at it.
  • Shield is good against guardian, Medic is good against fire ball Although you can deflect it with shield I wouldn't recommand it as you still take damage (might be a bug)..

Well, first of all please take in consider that we are talking about guide for randoms. If you playing in a party, of course you can make some additional moves and beat boss much faster. But you know - not everyone in random picked room are thinking about the same idea as you - and that's why guides are needed. Not the explanations of attacks but exactly guides. And that 13.5% of HP can be cost in ~35% time loss if boss won't return to the place he should be in. Also - to move the boss under the cages you should guarantee that you'll still be the aggro to move him further.
  • Another tip when in the guardian room, DO NO GO IN THE CORNER. Get close to the boss so you can actually stun them, if you are far away from the guardian bosses they will just spam their annoying moves.

Assuming no one communicates and are not just players with 0 idea on how to play it, just by not dying until it becomes 40 sec respawn will almost guarantee x2 clear. Goal of stunning and grabbing is to survive as long as possible so you can do damage. I do not know how trying to lure the boss to different spots cause time lost, everyone is still shooting at it?

I told that problem is not luring, problem is return it back to the center. Crushers are dealing 1500 damage per second, it is 1x every 6 seconds or +20% of damage if everyone are shooting. You won't lose DPS if you lure the boss under the kage and return in back in 25 seconds. Means won't lose, not rise up. Including that everyone shooting up and not anyone has basic damage rised up to 8th lvl, the chance that boss changes his aggro to some dudes near the edge of arena is pretty high (even if you having 50LVL on ZM, reloading can cause aggro change). And you know from the guardians - not everyone wants to get closer to the boss.

ah yah, i keep forgetting about crushers tbh. so you are right, in just a pure random, just keeping it in mid is best. ive been playing only 3/4 man nightmares now. 10 sec 2 ez cage lures sends it right back to mid for ballls.
  • Thanks for this guide, very useful Ult! 2 thumbs up
