New ZM

Has anyone managed to kill the final boss?
If so, some helpful tips please, as to me it seems impossible in just expert.

  • It is impossible to kill last boss alone even with full room of AA-12 or AK-47 buster gold. Which role do you wanna to hear?
  • I don't understand - how they clear this map in 8 minutes?? =(

They doesn't even have high ranks or m4's..only sergeants with p90..how?

How the boss;es lifes goes down so fast?like -2 lifes in a second ,while it took to my team about a 3 minuets to make -1 life

Can anyone explain?does anyone have any tricks for this map?

It might be balanced differently. The bosses don't seem to be dealing as much damage to the players as in our version. Though, that whole video seems odd. The contribution window shows that one player is doing 80-90% of the total damage.
  • Man it the SNES era again where all the NA games are harder than the other countries games.
  • It was hard AF, after so many failed attempts I finally won lol

Congrats with jewel. Well, it much easier if you can communicate with others.
  • I completed it on Expert on my 2nd game. This is by far the hardest ZM game I ever played.....

The problem is that 90% of the players here have a communication problem, as there are people here from many nations. More than half of the players, probably can't understand English well (Or at all), even though that's the official language for the servers. It's easier for the players in the Chinese-CF, as they all (Or nearly all) have the same language.

+ The bosses are super hard compared to anything we seen before in CF, to get most players to be able to kill it and not let the mode die out, they'll have to nerf the bosses.

It almost feels like I'm back playing a MMORPG and is trying to kill a event party boss, which i hated. 2 hours of repeating the same attack patterns. Gahhhh:mad:

  • Expert clear in 8 mins. Not Nightmare but still good I think?

I haven't even managed to kill it once yet. Even though the team tried to use the stun-hammer and the other helpful things. One problem is that people are refusing to use revive coins for them self. Instead just being dead and letting 3 players attack. Last time the team was doing good. Had plenty of time left and everybody alive with 10% of the flame guardian's health left, what happens? The message Mission Failed comes up, the map bugged. I'm giving up, it's not worth it.

That's really sad considering when I was playing with my team, we were able to get the 2x clear bonus.

But yeah when people decide to stay dead, of course it doesn't help at all.
On my second game, this happened to me, none would want to revive so I was stuck reviving everyone.
Spent almost 60 revives reviving others >.> Not fun.
  • For all those good ZM players, kindly Add me for some runs, plan to play from 9pm EST - 1am EST if possible, I have plenty of revives and willing to do some Expert level for the event, if you see me around, add me and invite me to your room. See you in the field.
  • i actually managed to kill the boss once in expert finally, with 40 sec left, 50 revive tokens used, 18 big health syringes used. This was with a team of only p90 users that worked together and used stun hammer and the glove. With only a couple who refused to revive and was voted out quickly. I honestly think this is just a way for Z8 to be able to sell revive coins.
Nightmare seems impossible if you are not crazy or have a team with fully upgraded laser m4's.

Well, for those who haven't stack revives before it will definitely be harder to survive this new ZM map.
Personally I have bought the 1K revives for the ribbon back in the old days and I have plenty Crystal crates from Crater Dawn (150+) which have the chance to give +1 or +5 revives if you open it.
I have cleared yesterday 15 times the Expert map, but you will need a good 7 ppl team with some buffs (gloves, horns, etc) and the basics to avoid the attacks.

The very 1st time I tried the Expert Run it was a total FAILURE. So it needs decent player skills.
Havent tried yet Nightmare run, I want to win the M4 laser in Expert runs first.

Starting to get the hang of it, but the problems with this is noobs, this is challenging for the elite of ZM. I wish they could do some things with this map, namely:
    1. Make it a requirement that you have done at least 200 ZM runs total
    2. Make it a requirement that players have ZM killing weapons, not a regular AK.
    3. Players have to have at least 50 Revive tokens to join a game
    4. Tokens should be automatically used so you can't be a cheapskate and match saboteur

3 and 4 absolutely most important, as noob's that don't revive has cost me around 250 Revival Coins and a lot of time. I'm usually pretty accepting and levelheaded, but i can't even write out what i would want to do to them here, as i would be banned for extreme foul language.

  • Yeah win the morning around 3ish am EST I was in a semi private room with rando we play expert in the beginning but once few of us got the m4 we noticed how fast we beat the boss so we tried Nightmare mode and got SS rank. For 1/3 I use Medic for 2/3 I use shield for 3/3 I use glove you can ignore the fire guardian in 3/3 as he leave when the boss tries to regain health at x50 health. Note in Nightmare as soon as you defeat the first guardian in 2/3 you have only a minute to kill the 2nd one so you have to divide your team. Despite the clear i only got a perm mini colossus melee.

It's still a perm weapon. I guess it will take me about a year to be able to get that one. Didn't know that the fire guardian left, it will be easier next time, so thank you. The shield seem to be able to bug and not work, so i used glove for both 2/3 and 3/3. Gonna try shield again when i fill up on some more revival tokens.

  • Well, won 8 expert all x2 clear , and 5 nightmare also 4 of them x2 clear, today. And only p90 in room, no m4 undertech.
  • WHERE DID YOU FIND THOSE ROOMS.

I really tired to jump into the rooms, finding someone to speak the same language as me and trying to save everyone cause some dudes messing with rotations.

And there is a special place in the hell for those who entering main boos room without waiting for others,

I can understand expert, but to manage nightmare without the laser, you have to be insane and very lucky with your team.
i managed 3 expert now, but not one with x2 clear. Getting easier to find better players though.

Enter a room and look for at their levels. Major minimum. Ask if they have good weapons and revive tokens. If some-one does not revive, start a kick vote. I agree with you about the people joining boss room before others have healed.

Do anybody here have advice on how to avoid damage against the fire guardian. When to use what etc... Because that monster really eats tokens.

You really shouldnt look for the rank, there are so many people with Major ranks or even Colonels just smacking the bosses with the breach hammer when the prompt hasnt shown up or they dont use their ability at all. Dont get me wrong, I wouldnt want to play with a smiley rank either but its not really an indicator on how good someone is.

Stick to the fire elemental guardian, if he jumps all over the place it takes longer to kill him and youll have a hard time dodging his AoEs. If he targets you basically "bump" into him and either shift or preferably run around him to escape that red cone. Every 3rd attack when hes in melee range will be a turn around flame thrower, perfect time to smack him with the breach hammer and grab him with the force glove. If he does his groundstomp and theres a red circle around him, run into the circle as soon as the fire appears, theres a ~1.5 second window to safely escape the next circle and doing that also prompts him to go into melee mode again.

TLDR: Ranks arent good indicators and sticking very close to the fire elemental makes your life and the fight easier.

Sorry but I'm not even a Lieutenant and often got kicked out from the room before even getting started.

Went all over the trouble to write the boss strategy to the wiki...

I know, that rank is usually not a good indicator of skill. I only mention it here as many low leveled seem to be under the impression that joining a game with no revival tokens is a good idea. Most of the higher ranks seem to at least have saved up on tokens. But that does not mean that they are ZM experts or that the lower ranked players are not.

  • u should be using P90 not ak or AA and M4 lv1 is better than all of them. i alrdy cleared 15 nightmare with full P90 team
  • This event is too hard.. I guess it's mostly for hardcore users. I could reach the final boss only one time, but there was no time.. so we lost.. since the DPS was low..

Yeah, i consider my self experienced in ZM around 400 wins in less than a year, and i think this map is very hard, it definitively not for any newbies (Which i feel like when playing this map)
