Always bad_module_info crashes.

I am having a problem with crossfire, When I open the game and log-in normally and start playing, the game crashes after 10 minutes after loging-in Also some times I get Unknown exception , Any idea how I can fix this issue? Last time I played Crossfire (3 Years ago) The game was working perfectly no issues, Why this issue started now? My PC specs: Core i5 4590, 16 GB Ram, MSI Armor Radeon RX 570 8 GB OC, I Hope getting a solution soon.

  • You PC is ok, so most like is something on the software side,

What others programms are running in background ? what is the antivirus name ?

Windows 10 Up To Date, What is running in background is Rainmeter and Avast and MalwareBytes, Here is a screenshots of some most important tasks, I noticed that my RAM usage went up through the ceiling.

Edit: Tried disabling anti-virus, Did not work.
  • 1. Add game folder to antivirus esxceptions on avast and malwarebites
    2. Check the GPU driver and install latest driver avaible
    3. Start game as administrator and compatibility mode windows 7, reset game preferences, set game rezolution same as your desktop ( leave gamma at 50% ), save

If not solve-it, uninstall avast and malwarebites ( is possible one of those progs to continue interfeer with game even you disable-it or add game to exceptions ), restart pc and start with step 3 again.

P.S. A print screen with "unknow exception" error can be useful when it happend.

    * any game overlay should be disabled - check on adrenalin software to disable any game overlay if are any activated
** close rainmeter also before start game ( should not interfeer with game - but is worth try to check if it does or not )

Tried doing these solutions, Didn`t work, And I will not wait for 13 Hours to reinstall the game because my Download speed is 200 KB/s. So, I will just quit CF and wait for CF-HD or CF 2 English release but thank you for trying to help. : /
  • Sorry to hear that ... but 200 kb/s download is not enough internet speed for most of online games ...

I got 2 MBPS internet speed and 200 KB/s download speed, is that enough?
  • It`s good enough for facebook and discord , but not for any online game , and probably he has them both running in backround while playing Crossfire .

The game require as minimal internet connection Cable/DSL type (keep in mind is minimal !) .... a DSL usually have a speed up to 6 Mbps, cable connection type around 10-15 Mbps

A 2 Mbps connection is the minimal required for surfing the internet , like open email, open webpages, but for online games you need a faster connection, most like you have also other devices connected on same router as your PC ( phones, tv, pc ...etc) then you actually have a lower speed, because will split to all connected devices.

So no, 2Mbps is no good.

Wow wow hold your horses, What? It requires like 6 MBPS? I mean when I am in a match and look at task manager I see that Crossfire is using like 200 KBPS or so, Also my ping is it is 20 Ms in the nearest servers to me (Mena) so I think it totally depends on internet connection Quality, Not internet connection speed... Also I know that 2 MBPS is not good but it is enough for 720p Youtube 1:0.9 playing to loading ratio, So try limiting your internet speed to 2 MBPS and try it out, It is not as bad as you think...
  • Look on game requirement : it say Cable/DSL internet connection... that means a minimal 6 Mbps for a decent gameplay experience.

So if in some cases will work with a lower internet speed , maybe that user have a more stable ISP that povide a higher upload speed also but is not something generally true for all.

And you can't compare watching youtube with online game, when you look on video online - your pc will create a buffer downloading data at lower speed as the connection allow then after few seconds will start deliver that video ( short explain ) , but for online play you need constant data exchange between pc and server ...

So all i'm say is 2Mbps is generally not enough for playing online shooters .. basically 2Mbps is the download speed BUT the upload speed is much much lower in that case ... something like 50 or 100 Kbps upload ( max is 512 Kbps upload for 2Mbps download - BUT most of ISP won't provide the max upload speed available for any connection type).

P.S. Now if you have a higher connection download speed , like 17 Mbps and you limit the speed at 2Mbps ofc you will still able to play ... because your upload speed is 1Mbps ... now you see the point ? you only restrict your download speed at 2Mbps but your upload remain the same from original connection ...

I think that my case case is exceptional since I use Ethernet and my upload speed is 300 KBPS and I can play all online competitive games no problems since my internet more stable than earth's gravity...
