This kinda reminds me those merchandises they put near the cashiers when you exit the Shop, with shinny things and beautiful glows.
In my Opinion, This is actually a good idea and a Well-thought-out one.
What most people don't realise is that, 5 characters in a 12 IGN, those are 95,040 Possible Available Names that are now avaliable for the "Rich" Users.
I knew there was a trick, and the trick was attract the clients and "while they are here, check out our new stuff and our new cool toys", kinda like when you enter the store and a salesman tells you about a new cool thing and he's just there to let you know that something new and cool exists.
I kinda get why Z8Games is doing this, This is a Niche Market only for the rich, Kinda like a New Bentley name for a specific target market (those who have money and are willing to spend in this as some kind of trophy)
As Such, it will only work for specific Users (those who have a lot of ZP and don't know what to do with it) so if i were the Owner and CEO of Z8Games, i would just keep doing these things because i won't loose clients and if they don't wanna buy it, thats their problem, ... there isn't a single scenario where Z8 would lose with this chess move, It's a Niche market Move and a really good one. And Also, This is still a really fast way to pay employee salaries without asking for credit loans
A Aspect that worries or should worry most Users is not whatever This Option Exists, but if something happens (like a update, a bug error) or sudden change in company's policy and all of a sudden, that IGN is gone and "oh no, i wasted 10,000 ZP for that"; Considering Z8's Present and Past's Dubious nature kinda makes me suspicious and i wouldn't trust something like that due to their unreliable, untrusty, unliability, untrustworthy, unstable and doubtful Nature.
I would give suggestions and Ideas, but since i'm not a employee of Z8Games nor a Freelancer hired and getting paid by Z8Games (Different labor laws and copyright laws), I really don't care.

We all know there are certain players also referred to as "whales" or "peacocks" that buy anything as long as it makes them feel special, this event is no exception.
As for the IGN's all of a sudden being gone, that won't happen. They chose some of the most common special characters out there that OG players have had for ages.

Unfair CF Games 2016 event

I dont want to turn this in to a discussion thread about those topics but,
Scavenger hunt event was bugged, didnt work properly, didnt show the clues properly, mixed up all of the promised prizes etc, but in the end they delivered the ribbon to everyone due to the community backlash (you can see the ribbon event thread has over 80 pages of replies because of it https://forum.z8games.com/forum/cros...-1-~-8?289873=)
CF games 2016 was a olympic games 2016 - themed event. You had to pick a country you would like to play for (out of all of the countries that attended the olympics). And there were a lot of different "sports" you could compete in for your country in crossfire (One of them was Average rounds won on ZM2 Shattered Station Hard Difficulty which I farmed for the whole 4 days it was active with other people) You can check them out here: https://forum.z8games.com/forum/crossfire/crossfire-announcements/previous-announcements/325367-crossfire-games-2016
Anyways, the issue was that only the people whose country got the first place would get the ribbon.
So the issue was that it was not a fair event because It did not matter how hard you tried, because if you joined your actual country where you were from, you would not even have a chance to get the ribbon unless you're from one of major nationalities playing crossfire.
Anyone I asked which country they were going to join besides a few dedicated zm players said Egypt or UK since it was an obviously the easiest way so get it.
I ended up joining USA due to me thinking it would be a fair event and we could pull up with at least 1 gold medal nolifing zm. Nope. I was a fool to even try.
You can see the results here http://crossfire.z8games.com/cfgames (I ended up in top 10 on hmx due to also farming it for the whole duration, but we still didnt get the gold medal)
Basically had I joined a country only myself, I would have greater chances of winning the gold medal than if I joined a country with many players.
The problem I had with the event is that you were playing a lottery for the ribbon. There was no sure way to win since it was not up to individual players, but the whole group.
Had they delivered individual ribbons for 1st, 2nd and 3rd+ places, I wouldn't have a problem with it since everyone got the ribbon.
But this way it just left a bitter feeling in my mouth and I decided to stop buying zp as a form of my protest -

Very limited players got it... make me think if they will do it again soon since some ppl try so hard and the end didnt get it, should be a fair event

Isn’t there 48 hour period for refund of zp or is it only for vip? Still they should of either fixed censorship or warn people in this thread not sure how they did not think of these symbols when it came to pms or chose. Lol -
In my eyes clean names without any numbers or special characters look the best anyways
Can't agree more, the names with special characters in them just look like a player wasn't able to get the original IGN.So the only way for the special characters to be accessible is through the Name Changer event page and pay 10k ZP. The "Change in game name" item will not allow you to use characters.

Thanks for the heads up! It can pretty easily be found on a standard US keyboard though..Hope a similar event happens, but this time to be able to choose an IGN with less than 3 characters.
Sure, if we would be allowed to search for these IGN in player ranking. I had friends with 1 character IGN's but there was a 3 minimum character search.oSasukeXxX wrote: »

You can indeed get a refund on any ZP item with a duration of at least 30 days within 48 hours. All the special characters in this event can be whispered without any issues and as said before the ~ character is available on any US keyboard.
