Dragon/Snake Rings Question

Hello! I want to ask anyone who got those 2 accessories if they're happy about how the HP recovery effect in ZM works. So, I've just bought both of them and so far I'm pretty dissapointed. Both my rings have 3x Medium HP Recovery effects, however most of the time the effect NEVER procs in a whole game. I noticed that by using some weapons I can get it to proc maybe a few times, but nothing more. For example, when using the Gatling Gun VIP the effect is nowhere to be seen!
I mean, this can't be normal, I've spent 10k ZP on them and then another 10k to replace the bonuses just to find out they're bugged or the chance to proc the effect is the same as the chance to win a black market item in this version.

Please, share your thoughts and your experiences with this HP recovery effect on those rings. Maybe I am doing something wrong, or maybe the GM should look into this.

Comments

  • I didn't even notice the effect, so im trying for Xp+ for every place in both rings.
    JackPain (Sweden)
  • The HP recovery I wouldn't recommend either. I mostly chose for the XP+ and kill streak time increase. When it comes to those perks the ring is very useful.

The Hp recovery procs often and it helps a lot. It procs when you kill a zombie, roughly procs once for every 20 zombies killed.

I have 30 HP recovery from those rings and I rarely die in ZM or ZM.2 because of them.

Hey! That's good to hear. I've noticed that if I swap my primary/secondary weapons 1-2 times the effect starts to proc again, otherwise it just won't do anything. Could you tell me what weapons do you use? As I said, my Gatling Gun doesn't proc it even once the whole game so I think not all weapons work with it.

    I use AA-12 buster and P90 wildshot.

I don't know about weapon swap thing.

P/s: the hp recovery thing is the best thing the rings can offer. It offers automatic Hypomed injections every now and then, it saves you alot of money and it's even better than Hypomed because of the fact that you don't need to manually inject Hypomed to yourself, which is time consuming and you might even die in the process if there are so many zombies chasing you. Since when I have these rings, I don't even touch my Hypomeds.

  • late to the party, If anything it's like the obsidian proc which takes a while too.

only CFCN do they appear on the character hands in game, for us it's just an item in the inventory.
  • Same here. No healing effect when using VIP Gatling Gun and close to non-existent with other guns. I'm unhappy with Z8 decision on the chance of appearance of this effect. Either a bad decision on item's functionality or an unfixed bug, I think it is very well aligned with the attitude they've demonstrated over the years. I love the atmosphere of the game, but I don't like the way it is administrated.

Gatling gun has low Critical rate, so this might be the case.

As far as i Know, M4 Jewelry has very high critical rate vs zombies, so this gun procs the effect most offten; but it dones't have many bullets. Tesla also has high critical rate if you ask me.

P/s: Have you tried to upgrade CRITICAL HIT RATE in your ZM3 record? I heard it increases critical hit rate not only in ZM3 but ZM1 and ZM2 as well.

CF China is the only version currently having it displayed on hand currently as mentioned earlier. This was mostly due to it being extremely hard to implement on hands, taking numerous tries in China. So they decided to not worry about it in other versions and just make it a inventory item.

To my knowledge it isn't related to the critical hit rate, but at chance when it comes to the rings. The more zombies you kill, the more HP you get. he M4 Obsidian however ís related to critical hit, upon every critical hit you gain 2 HP when the M4 Obsidian is equipped.

So since you probably make less kills with the Gatling ID than the AA12 you gain more HP using the ring effect.
  • u should notice also the chance is when u kill the mob not dmg so if u did just dmg and ur teammate killed the mob u wont even get a chance to recover HP and it dont work with bosses

NO, when it procs, you gain consistent amount of HP. I gain 30 every time because my rings's effeft =30 hp

you obviously don't know about this effect.
  • For me it works just fine, got +13 HP from both rings (since I have half HP and half Killing Streak Time). Usually play Crater Dawn and got the effect by killing mutants. Its really helpful and avoid using the Hypomeds

The ring effect clearly describes you need to kill a zombie to be able to gain HP at chance. "When you kill a zombie, your HP has a chance to recover by X amount"

So you might be confusing the ring effect with the M4 Obsidian perk. Or the ring effect might have a cap on the amount of HP you can gain in one game.
