All moderators in CF can be recognized by their MOD namecard and [MOD] tag before IGN. This most certainly was a imposter since GM's will never tell anyone if a certain player is banned or not, nor are moderators allowed to abuse their power this way.

Moderators also aren't in control of the reporting system, this is all ran by the GM's. Though it probably can happen a player is wrongfully banned, the GM's review each hack report very carefully and will never ban someone just because they are familiar with the reporter.

There does exist a live hack reporting channel on the CF West Discord. However is anyone mentions that you've been reported in it, they'll lose their privilege to said channel.

Hey! Thanks for bringing this up, this is a good time to school some of you guys in a few things. First class is "Is this person staff 101". Turn to page 462.

"Is this person a staff member"? No. Its as simple as that. Staff will never identify themselves as such. If they have the real [GM] tag they are staff. If they don't, then their opinion of you in game does not matter, and they have no power over your account. Also GM's will not tell you that you are banned until you send a ticket. They also will not publicly identify 'we know you have another account' (Even though we do know.)

Fun fact of the day: You can get banned for impersonating a staff member!

Alright, next subject. "inexperienced GMs / MODs look over replays and hand out bans to legit (as well as non-legit) players who happen to out-skill and subsequently annoy several high profile users/donators who are close to the MODs / GMs via discord 102". This simplt does not happen. Firstly, mods don't review replays and cannot ban people. Secondly, no inexperienced or new GM gets to review hackers or reports. That is reserved for those of us who have been here a while and know what they're looking at. While I can't speak about your friend that you are attempting to champion, I can say that if we've hit them from live report, its 100% accurate. I guarantee you that, and my word is my bond. If its from replay reports, in the 4 years I have worked here, I have seen two (2) people ever banned mistakenly from a replay. The ban was released after review by multiple staff members. These players had nothing to do with discord or being 'close to mods or gms'.

Which brings me to my next point. GMs are not 'close to' anybody. We legitimately do not care who you are, where you're from, what you did, how much money you have spent, or if your cat died in a house fire caused by faulty wiring in that robot puppy you had since you were a kid. We do not care. If you hack, you're going to get banned. If you don't, please continue to enjoy our fine services, there are some cheese and crackers over there in the corner if you get hungry, can I offer you a glass of wine?

I hope this clears up a few things, and I wish you good luck in the upcoming CFCL! I remember teamCaliber and I remember personally plugging your info and pictures into the site at the time, and I'll be waiting to see how you guys perform

Thank you very much for your response.
I really appreciate your effort at keeping the game clean of cheaters especially in ranked.
TBH I was mostly scared from the things I heard both on the forums and in-game thats why I made this thread.

Mind you, there are a lot of people who pretend to be close to GMs to try to trick other players, and there are also a lot of people who pretend that they're reporting someone on discord for hacking when they're not even in the discord.

I was in a game once on an alt when someone said to some other player, "I've reported you on discord" and yet I saw no such report on discord. Was just some guy trying to scare another player
