Do i need to have AK-47-Buster equip to get a chance of getting the jewel?

Do i need to have AK-47-Buster equip to get a chance of getting the jewel? in 40 games b4 i got the ak i have gotten 0 jewels, but after playing with it i got it first game. Do i need to have it equiped ? Cause AA-12-buster is still better and would prefer to use that

To my knowledge, you don't. You'll have just as big of a chance to get the Jewel when playing with AK as AA12. It's more related to the time you clear the boss in.

its just weird, cause in the 30 attempts before getting the AK (i always cleared within 5 min) i never got the jewel, but after i got 2 in 3 games ( i only played 3 more games) 1 on each day and on the first clear of the day

That is odd indeed, I haven't played the mode that much yet but from what I've heard the Jewels have a terrible drop rate.

You dont need to equip any specific item/weapon to get the jewels. All you need is to defeat the legendary boss. And then you have a chance to get jewels. After beating the final round boss, you will see the type of the boss: rare, legendary and one other(forgot his name).

I got two jewels before i even got the AK-47 Buster, so i also have to say no.

Drop rate is really low, i did not have any ak47 equipped and won 1 jewel after 25 games

Anyone know how to get AK-47 Buster? At first, I thought you had to obtain it with Awakening Crystals, but I already have one, so does that mean I need more?
So far from what I've read, people already have it before obtaining an Awakening Crystal. I think you should already receive the weapon just like M4A1-Defender, but I can't find it anywhere in my inventory or in Black Market.

you can get it from special boss reward boxes in crater dawn
