Ranked rant

Just like the title says, playing ranked is the equivalent of playing public with the only difference beeing that it's 5vs5 and a limited map pool.
When I say ranked I mean S&D. I haven't played Knife, TDM or HMX so everything im about to say is meant for the S&D part of ranked.
I will not address the hackers in ranked because that has nothing to do with ranked itself.

To start things off is the map pool.
The map pool in ranked for S&D needs a rework. There are only a few good maps and some really trashy ones.
Why is Ankara 2.0 even in the map pool? That's hardly a good S&D map in general let alone for "competitive gaming". The map in itself is just utter tras*. Ankara would be a much better
choice in this regard.
The next map is Eagle Eye. I know it's one of the most played S&D maps in public based off of the huge amount of Eagle Eye rooms there but it can hardly be considered a good
map in general and ranked, same with Castle.
Black Widow 2.0, Sub base, Port, Mexico and Refinery are fine. I don't know what to think of Compound but it's ok too I guess.
It would be nice to see Ankara instead of Ankara 2.0 and Mine instead of Eagle Eye.

The 2nd part that grinds my gears are the allowed weapons.
Why is every weapon that the game has to offer allowed in rank? Why are weapons with Full Wallbang allowed? Why is Slug allowed?
You can hardly call that a fair game if you are at a huge disadvantage for not using/owning Full Wallbang, Slug etc. Ranked games
should be fair to everyone playing ranked without giving other players an advantage for owning such weapons. It is supposed to
be a game mode of skill rather than cheesing. I am not calling for GP guns only or stuff like that. I just want limitations on what weapons can and cannot be
used in ranked games.

The 3rd part are Characters and Character costumization items.
I don't have a problem with female characters, vip characters in itself. But characters that offer Special effects like Smoke Protection should not be allowed in rank.
It just gives the other players a huge disadvantage for not owning those characters which of course reduces the fairness of ranked. Same with Smoke Protection and Flash Googles.
Those items should not be allowed in rank. Smoke grenades are just completely obsolete.

I am not calling for Tournament rules in Ranked. Just limitations on what can be used.
Ranked would be pretty fun to play if it wasnt for the points I made above. At the moment it's just frustrating to even play it
except you get a game where someone doesnt use Full Wallbang,Slug etc. Which is pretty rare.

That is how it should be. But if they do what you say, ranked be played by two and a half people with disabilities.

I personally wouldn't like Eagle Eye to be replaced for Mine, I myself am not a huge fan of Mine.

Though a mode where only GP weapons and none skilled characters are allowed would be nice, it should not be implemented in ranked. Though I agree some weapons and characters are a bit overpowered. In the end, ranked is just like public games, only with a more competitive aspect.
