Ranked and killmark question

Hello,I was platinum by the end of the last season(vii),and now it is season 8(viii),and I do not have a killmark from the previous season...

Please explain it to me how killmarks connected to ranked work?

To activate a killmark go to options > community > functions control > activate killmark

lower the resolution and you will see them bigger :P
