removing guns

peace upon you,

i just want to ask if it's possible to remove some permanent crate guns zp or gp from my account ?

Comments

  • At the current time there is no way for you to remove weapons you've won from crates. If only there was....
  • I think this is only possible when your storage is completely full, at least that's how it was in EU.
  • They don't have the time and people to fix that for all people sadly. This is one thing i would like to be able to do, even though i don't have that many duplicates compared to others, but that and the sorting kind of irretates me everytime i go in to storage, i guess we have to learn to cope with untidiness.

That was a bug in EU .. there is no such thing as "Storage full" in any CF version .. legal or illegal .

Well yes, but actually no. There is an error you can get when you do indeed have too many items and your storage is full. It will not allow you to open crates, and you will get an error message along the lines of 'Cannot Open Storage Is Full'. This is incredibly rare now that we have storage extension, but when it does happen the only way to fix it is to have a GM manually remove a list of items of your choosing. One. Painful. Item. At. A. Time. For example, imagine you have 20 soccer grenades you want to get rid of. That means a GM (usually me) has to go through and manually change the expiration date on each grenade one at a time. Imagine finding it in your inventory (not sorted on our end), clicking it to open it, typing the new expiry date down to the second, then clicking complete, and waiting for the inventory to refresh, and doing it again. 20 times. And thats only for 20 items which can come back pretty quickly when spinning crates.

Thankfully, this usually only happens to our really really high spending users, or weapon collectors.
  • My god that sounds incredibly time consuming..

Instead of having to do that ever you could bring up a trade market where players could sell any item in their inventory for an amount of ZP and everyone would be happy, don't you think?

When someone come in with a brilliant idea how popularize and improve commercial statements of the game, GMs suddenly dissapear :D.

I didn't disappear anywhere, I have many tasks to do that don't always allow me to respond on every forum thread as much as I like. The response was also posted on a sunday (I work monday to friday). But to touch on that topic, no I dont think it would be a good idea. I could imagine now the amount of tickets we would get about 'I left my account open at a net cafe and someone sold all my items' or 'my friend was on my account and sold all my items' not to mention 'this isnt enough zp' or 'i clicked sell by accident' etc.

And no, this wouldn't improve the commercial state of the game at all. Commercial relates to commerce, which relates to sales. If you're just trading in your old items over and over, what would be the incentive to ever buy ZP?

You could just apply the verify/click on link on a email that will be sent everytime you wanna trade/sell a ZP gun

    Hey Kanadian.
Im sorry if my post was somehow questioning your duties and if you felt insulted, it was a joke as a main meaning.

Regarding incentives of ever buy ZP is that those who cannot afford to buy tons of crates for a chance of winning items will charge zp to spend fair price to get promised items from others who have useless dublicates. Doesn't sound effective?
  • Let's stay on topic here. Which was purely a question if players are able to remove guns. Not to sell or trade them.
