Maths
Got an exam in two days for maths and havn't revised
Got 26% in a mock ftw
Anybody good at maths?
http://www.toothill.notts.sch.uk/data/files/dept/maths/ocr_jun08.pdf
If you understand any of them could you explain them etc.
I know like integration/differentiation and SUVAT and thats it
It's FSMQ which is between GCSE and AS btw

EVERYTHING except what i mentioned i knewGreen_Ranger wrote: »Omg that bring back soo memories.
I remember doing all this in gr9... good times >.>
What do you need explained?
Really bad at the linear/geometry stuff
same i just get As if revise i would have got A* wish i revised nowNever revised for any test, ever.
And I've also never failed one.tomtom12121 wrote: »What you need, i could do it?
Same as to what i said to the power ranger -
That's why I always say life is more important.. Do good in school, you will need everything you learn :cool:
And what Grade are you in because my younger brother was asking me about #7 last week.
I'm in the UK so im in year 11.
Basically you do GCSEs when you're 16 and AS when you're 17 but I done GCSE maths at 15 so I'm doing in between GCSE and AS. -
I guess I'll tacke the line equations if you don't like em. I'm at work and I'm in and out of calls, so give me a moment.What's calculas o.O
I'm meant to know it lol.
All i know is
integration/diffierentation, bionomial expanion/distribution and kinetic stuff.
I'll answer 2,3 and 5 for you (for now) too bad ur good at kinetics, I love physics and I woulda loved to answer all those for ya >.> -

Done 3 already
Things i needs help on are
2,5,7,8,9,11,13
If anybody else can do them -
Ok sry for the delay. here goes number 2
I always found this to be the easiest way. First find slope. m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=(0-8)/(6-0)=-8/6=-4/3 (simplified fraction) or -1 1/3 or -1.33333
then use one of the points to find y intercept. y=mx+b 8=(-4/3)(0)+b, 8=b
You now have line equation in y=mx+b form. (you didnt mention if you needed it in standard, point, slope+point etc)
Next find midpoint of line. Easiest thing evar.
mid= (x1+x2)/2,(y1+y2)/2= (3,4)
perpendicular slope is the negative reciprocal, so 3/4. use midpoint as a point on the line to find new y intercept.
y=3/4x+b
4=3/4(3)+b
4=9/4+b
7/4=b
so perpendicular line equation at midpoint= y=3/4x+7/4
Did this reeeeaaaally fast and didn't proof read. Hope I didn't make any mistakes >.> -

FDP i understood hardly anything
EDIT:now i do
you made a mistake somewhere though checked markscheme gradient is right y intercept aint
EDIT:wait you got it right
EDIT:i know that to get percundilar line's gradient you to m1xm2=-1 but how do you think the rest for the line. Substition? -
Yea, it's easiest if you substitute a point in, and since you know both lines share the same midpoint, you can use it.FDP i understood hardly anything

EDIT: Ugh, 5 is derivatives.... I HATE derivatives.... -
What do you do to get acceleration/distance/speed by intergrating/differintiating? I forgot which way it goes.
if you take the area under the curve(integration) of a distance curve, you get the velocity. if you take the integration of velocity you get the acceleration. integration is like anti-differentiation so if you take the derivative(slope) of acceleration you get velocity. if you take the derivative of velocity you get distance...
speed is the absolute value of velocity always... -

No, the derivative of velocity is acceleration. If you integrate velocity you get distance. The derivative of acceleration is change in acceleration, not velocity. I think you may have integral and derivative mixed up. -

I was trolling

So
To get distance you intergrate veloctity
To get veloctiy you intergrate acceleration/differiate distance
To get acceleration you differiate velocity -

The object of trolling is to **** people off. All you did was make yourself look stupid.
clearly if nobody is helping him and i tell him the exact opposite information, i am making myself looking stupid. i did it on purpose... like i would help a random out on a gaming forum about calculus. psh -

Hai?Wheres that power ranger =="
=="
I'm having a crabby day on the phones so I'll answer some when I have time >.> Sozzy Hazel, I have the day off tomorrow tho ^^
EDIT: I totally looooove proofs. I just jazzed in my pants from a maths question
