Few Points Why CF is Bad

After 1 month about EP bug . Players still playing normally and GM+ MOD said anyone use bug will get ban ( don't said under investigation cuz nothing happen ) Do you think us kids or something to make us forget this point while you have poor support team . Plus the following points
1- EP box didn't came while the day start before 9 Hours.
2- when I report someone insult my mother by photos and didn't do anything ( while before 3 years ban 3 days and remove honorable ribbon ) .
3- Ribbon bugged from 3 years . What a support team can't fix bug for 3 years .
4- 10 years for game and still no good development for severs and system against hack and poor support team .
5- I don't know why GM don't replay for players . Did he think him self higher than them or what ?

  • 1-I mean yea it sucks the EP crate for the weekend event hasn't been added as of yet. But that's really not a huge deal.

    2-I don't believe the HSR was ever removed from people who were simply reported for insults. However, reporting insults is something that will result in various levels of bans depending on how serious the infraction is and how many prior offenses they have of it. I believe it goes something like 3 days, 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, permanent ban. I can't say for sure what you reported and why it didn't have any supposed effect. However, if could possibly be due to seeing that the their insult was instigated or wasn't really all that bad. It could also be that your report showed something stated in another language and is still open to be reviewed when they have time to run it across a translator or someone in the office who might know the language.

    3-Yea certain Ribbons being bugged is annoying. However, somethings require Devs to work with them to fix. Not 100% sure which ribbons in particular you're referring to but it's likely the Clan wars ribbons or the HMX related ribbons. I believe it's how data from the game is processed to/by the website that is messing up those ribbons and if it's more on the game side then it's likely something the Devs need to work on and since it'd be something that really only effects CF West it's not exactly high priority for the Devs. (they do have a total of like 9 client versions to work on afterall.)

    4-Can't argue about the servers being pretty crappy. Though I can argue about the hacks and support.
    While the anti-cheat itself sucks they have implemented the discord live reporting for those that show they can follow rules and do it correctly. That's a huge step forward and has actually had an effect at least during z8 office hours. On top of that in those same 10 years of the game we have had FAR worse hacking waves in the past such as the entirety of the 2012-2014 period where EVERY match practically had 2-6 hackers in it. That's saying something too considering the servers were more populated back then too...
    As for the Support, the people who have issues with the support are generally ones that either word their support reports in ways that can be confusing, or are VERY vague and don't provide details. This leads to misunderstandings and other issues. Yes overall you'll get very generic replies for your answer but sometimes that's all you need. The people that seem to have the biggest problems with support that i've seen based off of other forum topics and from the discord are those who are trying to recover their account after hacking on it because they can't accept the fact they were caught and have lost an account because of it.

    5- I assume you mean you don't know why the GMs don't 'reply' to players on the forums? (note reply as in respond...and suggesting where the lack of response is) If so then they generally don't respond on the forums as the forums is more of a community for the players but perhaps more so because during their office hours they are generally busy with other things and forums can take out some time to type up responses like I am doing to your post now. Discord on the other hand can be much more casual and faster for little talking points when needed and they do respond more often there. So no it's not because they think they are 'higher' or 'better' than the players (though some of them might like Katfish) but rather it's just not the most effective use of their time. There's also the fact that they need to be careful of how they word things because they are the official face of the company.
    Now that being said Grumpy does go through things like the suggestions at least once a month and makes an effort to respond to quite a few of them. The others also respond when they have time to properly post on the topic at hand though often wait until player input has been applied or a situation arises within the forum topic that needs to be dealt with.
    Though another reason they might not post sometimes is because then people start hammering on the posts to ask all sorts of things that may not even be related with the topic at hand simply because 'OMG a GM?!! must ask question or insult or just further rant about why i think they are doing a horrible job!'

    Overall I think you missed a few points of what makes CF 'bad' at times. The server issues are probably the main issue that you did get. Another would be the imbalance of various weapons and various weapon effects. But I'd say an entitled player base, that often fails to understand logic or how bureaucracy works (and doesn't work) particularly when there's multiple companies involved doing different things, is a fairly large issue as well. However the lag should be fixable....the player base probably isn't.

    Hi there! First off thank you for your feedback, its passionate players like you who help drive this game forward constantly. However, I do need to point out a few things you got wrong, unfortunately.

    We never said anywhere that people who had this bug will be banned. We're not asking you to forget the EP issue. This was something that these players did not actively do, and was a bug in our system. And for that, we apologized. However the message that was going around social media saying that I personally said they would be banned? Is fake. I've mentioned this to multiple people, and pointed out the awful spelling and grammar that wouldn't happen from a native English speaker. Now lets address some of the other points.

    1 - You're right. And its now up there, and will continue to be up there for the rest of the weekend. I'm sure you'll have time with the other 63 hours to go click on it, though.
    2 - Completely incorrect. I personally ban people frequently for insults, yes even about peoples mothers. However, in the 4 years (more than the 3 you mentioned, I might add) I have been with Z8Games, we have never removed the HSR for insult bans.
    3 - If you'd like to talk about a particular ribbon, please contact us via ticket and we will be happy to help you. Keep in mind that we did a poll recently on Discord about issues that bother you guys, and the Clan Ribbons was one of those. Feel free to weigh in there :)
    4 - Wrong, wrong, and wrong again. Our development team works hard, and I've seen them do round-the-clock shifts to get patches out for updates, bug fixes, and yes even hack prevention.     I think there should be a mega EP event for all players to get a bunch of EP. I think it's unfair some players got 1000s of those crates, all of those guns, crate tickets, GP because of a glitch while others pay for those crates or play hours every weekend. Maybe to make up for the players that didn't get it have a 1000EP a minute event or something.

    You and I both know that the servers you are using are really not meant for games like this.
    If you played the game once you would know the annoyence of constantly being shot while already behind cover, or shooting someone, seeing blood, dying and seeing that you did 0 damage at all. The weird random freezes also seem to have something to do with the server or the game in general as they often occur in the exact same moment for everyone. And don't even get me started about the countless bugs and serious problems with the game that haven't been fixed in over 10 years, I just ranted about those in another thread a couple of days ago.

    Got no doubt that people are working to maintain the servers and all, but in terms of making the game enjoyable nothing has been done for years.

    Not denying any of the server issues but I feel like seeing blood when hitting someone is incredibly inaccurate. I turned it off ages ago.

    Making the blood server sided would be one way of improving things, but I guess nobody at smilegate ever thought of that.. Works for CS, should also work for CF, can't be that hard.

    1 About EP bug : I didn't see that photo you talking about .But one of players who have Good Samaritan ribbon reply to my old thread and said they will ban and I take information according that .
    2 - The ribbon I mean both of us knows. "Credit to the clan ". And you said it will fix so let's count time from tomorrow ( 5-Feb-2019 ) until fix how much time will take . Cuz it's take more than 3 years

    Regarding the EP bug, it was never stated by any staff that we would ban anyone for the issue. Unfortunately, the player who said that to you was only guessing, at best.
    For the ribbon, it is something we are indeed investigating and aware of, and something I would personally like to see fixed. Heres hoping it won't be that much longer :)
  • Clan Ribbons are working fine thought ._. I received both of them like a week ago or so.
    A ribbon that isn't fine though, is the Back To School ribbon, where I have been waiting 5 years for it :(

    I personally think its the most important issue on FPS game. I don't think GMs have love for FPS game or at least this game.
    Genius people made this game but unfortunately hired bad people at a wrong time and at a wrong place. they never gonna have good reputation on gaming industries.
    for example, you can hire one genius person and can solve all these 5 issues in a heartbeat :)

    Fixed afterwards, and you still had an entire weekends worth of time to purchase. Updates, things tend to move slowly or happen unexpectedly. This will happen when working with systems. Our guys can't force a patch to upload any faster than it is, for instance.

    I think you're misjudging a lot of stuff here. Firstly, the GM's you see do not develop or fix the game. We forward your information and reports, certainly, but we are not the ones who created, fix, or continue to develop the game. Further, the people responsible for creating new content in this game are STILL creating this new content. And also, there is no genius that can fix every issue on his own 'in a heartbeat'. And if you think that, then you simply do not have the information or knowledge that you need to debate this.

    You literally keep copying and pasting "bad management, no hope for them especially promised time on updates. BAD" but you don't want to explain or discuss at all why you believe the management is bad. We understand that you may have complaints, but we cannot fix any complaints you have if you don't engage in a respectful conversation about what needs to change. And yes, we do respond, as you will see across the forums, and not only to complaints.
