Opinions on Management V2
I have no idea why my last post got closed, the title had nothing to do with the reason it was closed for?
It was an opinion thread, was it closed because it spoke our truthful, disappointing perspective on senior management? or was you told to? oh never mind, you cant tell us why.
once again, it was an opinion thread, and i didnt see any reason as to why it got closed, why not close 'ruining the market'? thats dedicated to the ep bug. so sensitive.

Heres my last reply to the old post which i worked tirelessly to type up, in case anyone wanted to follow up:
To what extent does the community to management communication really stretch to though, i get mods do try to do their best, but subjects like bugs and anything to do with zp (crates, winrates) seem like a touchy subjects which gets ignored. probably because cf's intention is for monetary gain or the game masters arent skilled enough to fix the game, these are pretty clear signs of a bad business operation.
The lack of bug fixes in the updates clearly shows this, there is almost no interaction between community and management about the health of the game with the exception being fixes for ZP weapons when they glitch out, and not towards optimization and bug fixes for the 80-90% of the community who run on outdated devices, but instead for those who run on finer machines and spend money on the game. Instead, updates is filled with detailed and nicely edited pictures promoting new vips and crates. Damn, gms need to show more evidence of what they are doing, you cant blame us for being negative towards the few operations you have going on.
I appreciate the ACTIVE mods for doing their best and speaking on behalf of GMS, you guys hands are tied, but our knot is tighter. (do you guys work at z8 or have your own jobs btw? never understood that.)
Dont use the excuse of TOS with us please, if you act no different from developers and/or accept their commands even though you know they are wrong, therefore you are condoning to it and that makes you just as bad as them. -

I see many bug fixes pretty much every patch and GM's aren't obligated to share anything about the winrates of the black market as long as they're not required by law.The lack of bug fixes in the updates clearly shows this, there is almost no interaction between community and management about the health of the game with the exception being fixes for ZP weapons when they glitch out, and not towards optimization and bug fixes for the 80-90% of the community who run on outdated devices, but instead for those who run on finer machines and spend money on the game. I feel like you're displaying the GM's as some lazy people picking their noses 24/7 in office. I think they're are doing their best in improving the game, the game however runs on a very old engine and thereby is never bug free. It's not fair to blame this entirely on the current GM team, it's just how the game developed over time.I appreciate the ACTIVE mods for doing their best and speaking on behalf of GMS, you guys hands are tied, but our knot is tighter. I don't exactly know what you mean by this but the MOD's work voluntarily for both the GM's and the community. They have own jobs outside of CF and should never be underappreciated for what they do.Dont use the excuse of TOS with us please, if you act no different from developers and/or accept their commands even though you know they are wrong, therefore you are condoning to it and that makes you just as bad as them.
This isn't fair to say. In the end developers just push content to the different versions and the GM's are in place to implement it. Though the GM's might have some say in the matter, there is a very clear chain of command in this business. It's always easy to shift the blame.. -
I can confirm that the GMs are, in fact, trying to better the game. But all of the difficult technical issues require developer intervention, which is very slow.
To answer your question about how much the GMs are engaged in the community: They are engaged a good deal more than GMs of most games are. They chat with other users on Discord (you're welcome to join, discord.gg/crossfire) and gather data from forums. In most games the only player-GM communication is via tickets and announcements.
The GMs try their best to report bugs, create engaging events, and improve the quality of life in general.
But they ultimately can't do everything at once. They are also people with lives and families, but they're trying. All of them are.
To answer your question about MODs: MODs are player volunteers, we are regular players that assist the GMs by helping maintain order on forums and Discord, forward bugs, player feedback, etc. -
For the part about asking where MODs work: Being a MOD isn't my job, I don't even live in the same country as the GMs haha.
I actually work full-time as an assistant network manager/1st line IT support for a company in the UK, and only really use the forums/discord when I get home (Besides maybe 5-10 minutes when I'm on break). -
Wow, thanks for the insight MODs, i guess youve given me some much needed hope, i have nothing against this game (just the way its managed, but i guess this is their capacity) and probably never will, just dont want to see the game become what we dont want it to be.
Thanks again for your contribution, if you do this voluntarily, you really should be paid. (however unlikely that maybe, since you know, Ebenezer Scrooge owners of the game ) -
I actually browse the forums / discord bug reports quite a lot. I've commented on posts when I need to, but a lot of the times people make posts saying "X is wrong with X event, how come GMs aren't paying attention?"
It's one of the things where I'll have to step in and say, "Hey, please send a ticket so we can gather more information and keep track of what's going on". Sometimes we need a lot more info than "I dced in ZM'. In tickets we'd need people to go into detail such as where exactly did you dc, what server were you playing on, etc. We can't reproduce the bug if we don't have enough information about it.
However the MODs (and other players) do an excellent job of providing answers or directing users to support when necessary, and usually get to the forums before me. (I cannot be on the forums 24/7)
On the term of "no interaction between community and management" I'd like to point out that we did take notice of a lot of your suggestions and we've even asked for your input on certain events.
The most direct example I can think of is the December Spin The Wheel event, where each week you guys voted for what gun you wanted to be the reward.
We had a #skin-suggestion channel at some point on Discord, where players could suggest more skins for other weapons. The top vote was for the graffiti skins, and soon after we released more graffiti skins. One of the more recent and popular votes that you saw were the recent Gold Black Dragon weapons.
Other suggestions:
Have ranked events in NA (had the ranked series)
More events that give EP (Monthly Mixup has been revamped)
More Ghost mode tournaments (We've held more CFCL Ghost tournaments)
Made the voice of Masha Russian
Upgraded the Monthly Mixup Rewards so that people would receive more EP
Ranked TDM requires 10 players to play a match instead of 16
Also whenever someone suggests something in discord, if it is reasonable and looks do-able it is added instantly. (Example, adding a channel so people could post pictures of food or their pets) -
Here's a few links for those flies on the wall who sit (or squat, I don't judge how you play at your PC) and are really curious on if what I said is true.

We do appreciate your suggestions, and we DO read them. We encourage you to post more suggestions on the forums / discord. We also ask you to post these suggestions so we can have something to direct our developers to.
In regards to GMs interacting with the community about bugs, I don't believe it's necessary for me to link the forum posts where I've commented on the forums, nor to post a screenshot of every time I've talked to a player about something weird that they have encountered. I'm also not the only GM that has reached out to players as well.
