Are we ever going to get a response on that EP bug and how people abused it to get free weapons? they gunna get banned or what?

Truth be told, management doesnt give a poop about this community anymore, however they out here knowing we will let things slide once we ve given it some time because they are lazy sods who cba doing anything, you guys as a community need to be more assertive and demanding smh my head.

Forums are dead too, mod presence is only to delete swear words and posts regarding other versions of the game so their revenue can be maximized lmao :rolleyes:.

Whats your opinion on Mods, Gms and the community as a whole at the moment?

The amount of feedback we get from the people in charge is actually dissapointing.If you ask me, the moderators could show some interest about the fact that some of us actually give a (removed) and do the effort of replying every now and then....

Players and mods alike have asked the GMs and due to the privacy policies in place at Z8 have been told that we won't know of any actions taken against other people's accounts. Their hands are tied, they could lose their job if they go against their policies, so unfortunately we won't know.

I've been playing since 2010 and I'm always interacting with the community, just mostly on the discord server since it's easier to just have it open than it is to browse the forums, and I can use it at work unlike the forums.
Please don't say we don't care about the community because I'm pretty certain most if not all mods are long time players of the game. If we didn't care we would have left long ago.

Mods are just players too. We aren't required to reply to threads that we have no interest in, just as any other player isn't required to.

We aren't in charge, so why would you want feedback from us? In a lot of situations we have the same information as a regular player since again, that's what we are. We just have the added ability to be able to remove, edit, infract, etc. When people do things they aren't supposed to.

I think you're being unfair here. I'm very involved on the different social platforms of CF West (discord, forum etc.) and find myself chatting with MOD's quite often. They are really involved and do what they can to support the GM's.

I think GM's are under a lot of pressure from the developers when it comes to a lot of decisions for this version. I believe they try their best in listening to this community, it's just the developers that want CF to be a money making machine.

We just need too see that a bug like this can be handlet by z8games if they cant fix this maybe crossfire west needs a new developer it really hurts too see people get that much benefit because of a bug.

I've been a mod since 2016 in CF Europe and mods do have more than just delete swear words and talk anything that's not helping others. They do help foward issues, bugs and many others things to the GMs directly. They have more closed contact with them, which also helps them look for more severe issues. Mods are doing their job as moderators, nothing else.

As for the management, what Utmost said is right. There is a moderate pressure from the developers when operating the game, hence why they are not very active within the community. The bug team also has counter hours trying to fix bugs that happen. Mostly bugs related to the client. You know that old phrase "Fix 1 bug, more will appear" and that still applies here.

You don't know what happens behind the curtains, you don't know how the GMs and other staff team work on their workplace. You don't need to tell things that are not true.

I mean at the end of the day. I get the stance and what not that's caused within their own TOS. Especially when it comes to players who pry into the details and what to know everything and every player that abused it. But.....IMO they really should issue a general statement posted in Announcements that says something along the lines of:

"We acknowledge there was a bug with the EP distribution on 'such and such' day. We have/are working to fix the issue. Those that took advantage of this obvious bug will be/have been punished based on how badly it was abused. Further details on account punishment however will not be discussed except to those who are/were punished and wish to dispute their punishment but only in support tickets."


I believe that alone would help ease some of the uncertainty around the issue as it shows that they are at least acknowledging the issue existed in a fully official capacity as a company and not just words from individual parts of the company. The current lack of such an official announcement on the situation will likely breed more players abusing similar bugs in the future when they arise since it appears to many of them that the situation isn't being handled and just being let go regardless of if that is true or not. As that is how they perceive it all due to a lack of a statement.

The GMs are aware of the issue and it (and any associated users) are being handled.
You as players will not be notified of any actions taken regarding the matter unless it has affected you directly (in which case you can ask via ticket).

The topic of the EP bug and any actions taken against affected users is NOT open for discussion.

To what extent does the community to management communication really stretch to though, i get mods do try to do their best, but subjects like bugs and anything to do with zp (crates, winrates) seem like a touchy subjects which gets ignored. probably because cf's intention is for monetary gain or the game masters arent skilled enough to fix the game, these are pretty clear signs of a bad business operation.

The lack of bug fixes in the updates clearly shows this, there is almost no interaction between community and management about the health of the game with the exception being fixes for ZP weapons when they glitch out, and not towards optimization and bug fixes for the 80-90% of the community who run on outdated devices, but instead for those who run on finer machines and spend money on the game. Instead, updates is filled with detailed and nicely edited pictures promoting new vips and crates. Damn, gms need to show more evidence of what they are doing, you cant blame us for being negative towards the few operations you have going on.

I appreciate the ACTIVE mods for doing their best and speaking on behalf of GMS, you guys hands are tied, but our knot is tighter. (do you guys work at z8 or have your own jobs btw? never understood that.)

Dont use the excuse of TOS with us please, if you act no different from developers and/or accept their commands even though you know they are wrong, therefore you are condoning to it and that makes you just as bad as them.
