Lower Ping?Better for you?

Hey Folks,

I wanted to start a Discussion about the Pings and if a lower One is Everytime better. I Have in Every a Ping from 10ms up to Max 30ms The Average Player has a Ping from 50-100, and all Above Start to Lagg Reall Hard (Walking on Spot and then Jump 10 Meters Forward).

Honestly in real other FPS Game it is really good to have such a Low Ping due to a good Internet Provider with Good DL- and UPL- Rate but in Crossfire it feels Really like Cr*p and i gonna tell you why. In a Normal Random Match Up you have at least 10 Players with under 100 Ping down to 50ms at best, but when i Come now with a 20ms Ping into the Game its like The Hitboxes dont even Match on the Enemys Chars, i have Bought me 1 Ring on the Item Shops that give you a Notification when you Succesfully hit the Enemy, Now when i Poke Arround the Corner and See an Enemy and i Give him a HS he just twitches, some Blood will pop up and then he without any other Response Instant HS me, and when i then look at the DMG that got Counted its arround 30-40 Everytime, like it didnt got Counted as HS instead it got Counted as a "Shoulder, Chest" shot.

But theres 1 More Example even when i see a Enemy with his back to me and i Sneak up to Him and Shoot him into his Back it needs often over 10 Counted Hits to get him, it feels like the Hit Regestration to the Server would be a 50%/50% Russian Roulette game if your shots got sended to the Server, so that he counts them, or better said it feels like the most of the Shoots "disappear", when you know what i mean.
(Thats the reason why so much Player use TMP and 9A, because there it seems like all the shoots get direct counted, example is on Dual Scorpion VZ61 You need even at Close Distance Nearby everytime the whole Clip for 1 Enemy, same goes for the Scorpion EVO 3 you need often up to 25 Body Hits to get an Enemy.
The Bulletproof Stuff is the Same when i Equip that BP Stuff i feel like i die even easier then without it, but on Enemys it makes them to real Bullet Sponges

and the Last Example i got is at the Corner Poking again, its everytime the same if i play the Poking Game arround the Corner with a Enemy, he dont even have to have a high Ping, 50ms is already enough, He can shoot you before you even see him (And yes i know there exist Wallbang, but no i mean even behind Cement Corners its so) and you get Already DMG before i can see him, shouldnt be other arround that i should see him with my 20 Ping then he with a 50 Ping ( I know that the diffrence isnt high anymore, but it cant be that he can shoot at me before hes arround the Damn Corner). Even when i Poke or even Sneak arround the Corner you die Before you can see anyone. Best example is when you Fall Back after the Corner Poke im Already on my Computer 2 Meters behind the Wall and still just Fall to the Ground because on the Servers i was Still on "Open Field", and on my Computer im Already in Safety.

Last Point i want to talk about would be a new Mechanic for those Laggers with sometimes 600 Pings.That they couldnt Move any Further until they Ping Goes Down again (Same Mechanic as in Counter Strike Global Offensive), So that they cant just walk on a Spot because theyre lagging you Put 30 AKs shots into them then they "teleport" 20 meters Further and give you an Instant HS.


I want to know how youre Experience is, it would even nice to get some MOD or Gm Response if somebody know how to mark them.

  • I'm not sure what kind of response you want from a MOD, we're players just like you are.
    In my personal experience, my shots register a lot better in EU/UK where I get 33 ping (Used to be 19 T_T) than when I play on NA and get anywhere from 90-110.

    I still get killed round corners and such after I retreat though, which is frustrating.

    I'd like to see some changes to how the game handles lag, as you said, they shouldn't be able to teleport after lagging, and rubber-banding, whilst annoying, would work better than them teleporting forward and not taking damage. That, or make the laggers take full damage if their connection has been lost.
  • Yea getting killed 2-3 seconds after you get behind a wall from their line of sight is annoying. also when a sniper bullet goes way to your left or right visually but then you still die from it.

    Now....there was a time back in like 2012 and 2013 when a lagger had their ping shoot up and got stopped that they would still take damage right where they stopped at and would die instead of not taking any damage until they either shoot forward and return to normal or back to their previous position before damage can be dealt to them.

    So yea....it'd be lovely if they could get things working better again. And i'll also add that it's rather weird that CF West plays more rough sometimes for me than CF BR which i have an average ping of like 160-174 there.

    Honestly i thought if you marka Gm then a normal User They might Read it too and say Their opinion about it.

    I Just play on UK Servers the Reason why i have a 20 to 30 Ping is Because of to less RAM its More then enough to Run Cf Easy but for "now a days games" way to less. But What i mean with that Hitboxes is often when i start to Spray from Frustration Some Shoots where does Went more to the Side where the Enemys is Walking, Example is he Walking Left, it feels like you need to Shoot a litl bit in Front of Him so that the Shoots get Counted Correct. But i have a Big (For me its a Big problem) Problem since a few Patches, i Cant choose in Crossfire my Resolution anymore it tells me "Your Monitor Doesnt Support this Resolution" but in other Games i can use it easy, and even my Old Resolution isnt Wokring anymore 1440x900, when i Select it now the same error comes up.
