About farming and bots..

I wonder if farming in-game is illegal, either exp farming or event farming or badge farming or ribbon farming or any kind of farming in game? Because I've seen lots of people farm in game and they told me it's not illegal or against the rules they said it's totally fine and I've seen both high and low ranks do it..

Also I know using bots is illegal (IDK how those things work BTW ) but what about using them in farms? I mean I see a lot of bots in game farming specially in HMX and there are even specific rooms for bots so I wonder if it's illegal to use it that way or not, also if I instead for example put something on my D key and stayed AFK or maybe I just periodicly move manually myself will it still be illegal?

just wanted to know that cause some people keep telling me to farm with them and some other suggested me to use bots.. Thx

Farming, though frowned upon, is allowed. BUT you're not allowed to use any third party program to farm. Meaning: no bot that allows you to stay AFK, no program that allows you to farm on bots.

Ok, thx for the support, good thing I don't even know how to use a bot well I think it's time to start reporting some bots specially people who use bots in serious games
