Opinion about wild-wild lag

my IMHO - Smilegate built into the game client mining client for mining cryptocurrency. Maybe it's a mad opinion, but i can't explain, WHY my FPS sometimes drop from 180-200 to 12!!! I haven't any idea, why game developer make that crappy updates, which make game worse except cryptomining.

I mean this would possibly maybe have a slight possibility of plausibility if perhaps those FPS drops happened to everyone all the time and if they didn't go away (at least for me) when you update graphics drivers/other things and restart your computer.

Other than that it would also likely be highly illegal to do so unless it's also stated in the licensing agreement that you have to agree to that pretty much nobody ever reads the entirety of.... not to mention you'd probably be able to find other evidence of such things going on other than just FPS drops on your side. But sure! CF Conspiracies. Would make for a great off topic section....but also likely lead to an infraction pit.

If the game were mining for cryptocurrencies using your computer (Which I can state with 100% certainty that it isn't) you'd be running at 100% near constantly whilst running the game, and the drops, as Zalstis mentioned, would be constant, not just every now and then.

Just because people get FPS drops doesn't mean your hardware is being used for mining, if you don't know what's happening you really shouldn't jump to conclusions like that.
It's like assuming someones cheating because they got a headshot. You need evidence before you can determine what's true and what isn't, not just say one possibility out of hundreds.

dear MOD, how can you explain that terrible dropping FPS? now i can't play SnD, can't play FFA, can't play EM. I can't do event, because i don't want to be a easy target not by my fault. I haven't fun in the CFNA now. I test my PC on the other games - all works perfect.. 1 year ago i have problem with my ping, i solve that problem and use more speedy IC. but, i'm WILD lagging in the game with 45-50 ping in Europe servers..

I'm not sure how to explain it, that's why I'm not jumping to wild conclusions like cryptocurrency mining.
Why would a multi-million dollar company like Smilegate West risk their entire business for a tiny amount of volatile cryptocurrency in comparison to the ZP purchases they get?

They wouldn't.

As has already been said, it can't be mining because the lag isn't constant and it's not coming close to 100% usage in anything.

If Smilegate are mining with your computer I will personally give you 1 million ZP and upload a video of myself eating my hat.
I guarantee you they aren't doing it.

These problems werent there when cf eu wasnt migrated to na. Since we have these europe servers and no more uk servers, i get fps drops, thousand host errors, maps closing without any error, ping unstable, people flying, servers laggy as hell

but hey, of course it is my hardware.. never had such problems on csgo, was running it with 200fps constantly and smooth LOL

According to their terms they now collect user's ingame data but I doubt that's the main cause. What you describe has been an ongoing issue for over a year, seen it happen on famous stream few days ago also. When half the room or the entire room gets a lag spike and sometimes dc from the room clearly it's your pc that could be the issue and not their servers nor them piling update after update onto an old engine. Gotta remember this game is old and is like a closet when you try to cramp things in somedays it could just burst open, get use it is all you can do but its far from your pc. And only issue I found with the recent windows 10 update was causing issues with ccleaner, my laptop nvidia was just fine, issues with an old game has its flaws especially when the only "maintenance" it gets is crates and minor spelling/bug fixes.

Conspiracy, conspiracy never thought a government would use/work with at of all people a cellular company to spy on people but look at the chinese government and huawei(i think that's how you spell it lul) incident.

my last idea - hardware manufacturers pay to Smilegate to make CF slow at old hardware to increase sell of new hardware.
or Smilegate fired all good programmers and replace the crew by 3 year old kids. I haven't ANY other idea, HOW they can spoil the game and make it WORSE. usually, all new patch must optimise game code, remove bugs in CF etc. but NOT HERE. and YES, i'm VERY angry to play CF in slideshow game mode today

There's a big difference between Lag and Frame Rate Drop.

Losing frames happens when your computers graphics card can't handle the amount of work it needs to do to render the game smoothly at a consistent frame rate. If you're getting constant choppy visuals that look like a slow slideshow of pictures, that's frame loss.

Lag is caused by crappy server sync, which is the main problem nearly everyone is experiencing. You can move around fine, but enemies seem to ice skate and teleport around, they're in one spot, they freeze, then suddenly they're on top of you. The terrible sync that's in this game currently is obviously due to Z8 merging the servers together. Are you in the US while the host is in the UK? You're going to get server lag, and vice-versa. That is entirely the fault of whoever did the netcode for the servers, though obviously having bad internet only makes it worse. However, going from 16-32 ping US/UK, back in the good old days, to 50-350 randomly whenever someone joins/ leaves is ridiculous.
