Hey Community,

i just bought some weapons in the Black Friday Event, but when i try to login, the game says "Invalid Item Information". The game closed.

Is there a solution? How can i fix this?

Hey! I'm going to give you some basic tips, but if that doesn't work submit a ticket so we can go more in depth.

It sounds like you didn't properly update CrossFire. There are two things you can try to fix it:

1) A fresh reinstall. This would allow you to download the latest version of CrossFire.

2) Your version.ini file is outdated. This could be due to things like admin permissions, system overwrite permissions, etc. Make sure your version.ini file is the latest version. You can see your version.ini file by right clicking the CrossFire launcher, heading to "open file location" and scrolling to where the file says "version".

You should see two files here, you want to click the one that ISN'T version.dat. It should open up a notepad file, where you can see what version you're at. Know that you can either ask a friend who has updated CrossFire to tell you the latest version. Of course, if you go to support they'll help you out there as well.

Here's what you can try out.

Right click the version.ini file
Uncheck read-only
Change to the latest version
Right click the file and check back to read-only

However, there can be several other factors that are preventing your version.ini files from updating, and every PC is different so allowing the permissions to update may be different for you.

The latest version is: 1320

The solution is:

Right click the version.ini file
Uncheck read-only
Change to the latest version: LatestVersion = 1320
Right click the file and check back to read-only

right click on version.ini --> properties --> safety --> click on "configure" of the rights --> SYSTEM read-only (deny) --> Administrators [USERNAME/Administrators] read-only (deny) --> [USERNAME/user] read-only (deny) --> "assume" and "ok"
