Why does it look like the actual WIDE GRENADE GLORIOUS phoenix is in the crates?

Because it is.

They are putting them in the crates because they are part of the requirements for completing the collection and so that's how they decided to make them available again instead of doing an event that requires winning the other 3 weapons in the crate to get the nades.

I actually won the smoke grenade with my first crate, but I bought a total of 250 of the B version of Glorious Phoenix Mega crates (since I wanted the Cop Deringer).
For the wide grenade I bought 200 crates of the A version and won it on my 175th. The only other thing I won from the Phoenix crates is the Barrett.

In EU we actually got the smoke when buying 50 gold phoenix crates lmao.

Yea up until now the only way we got the Nades to the glorious phoenix was by winning all 3 weapons in each crate. Wide nade was the collection reward until the final crate came in and then to get the smoke nade and flash nade you had to have won all 3 weapons in the 2nd and 3rd crate respectively. So for someone who got that...it was a bit saddening to see people could just up and win it from these new crate versions....but....at the same time....since the nades are part of the collection requirements for completion it's not surprising and they'd have to of found some way of re-releasing the nades which was ultimately going to be easier than the original way.
