Question about Character Sets (Guardian, Sentinel, Longbill, etc.)

I was wondering how do the set bonuses work: if you equip 2+ pieces of the same set, you get + X% bonus EXP.
The question, however, is: if I equip 2 pieces of the same set, let's say Guardian Helmet and Guardian Goggles, I get +5% EXP from Goggles, +5% from Helmet and +10% from the 2 pieces set bonus, but what happens if I also equip the Guardian Backpack? I would get both the 2 pieces and the 3 pieces set bonuses (Helmet +5%, Goggles +5%, Backpack +5%, 2 set bonus +10%, 3 set bonus +15% for a total of 40% EXP)? Or each set counts as active only the highest of his bonuses (3 pieces = 15%, not 2 pieces 10% + 3 pieces 15% = 25%)?

I have all items from ZM3 Fatal Canyon equipped on this character. For 4 of the items I get 5% EXP bonus each and 2 of the items 15% each bringing it to a total of 50%.

Other than just the items you also get a bonus for equipping a certain amount of items from 1 set. So on top of the 50% I already have from the individual items I also get another 30% because I have the whole set equipped, bringing it to a total EXP boost of 80%.
