Problem with the settings

Hello,
im playing Crossfire for 5 years now. I never had Problems with the settings. No that Crossfire moved together with Z8games i got folliwng Problems:
1. When i want to change the settings, my game crashes all the time after i click on the "save" button.I need to restart the game like 5 times, just to change one setting.
2. I was used to a wide resolution. If I use any resoltuion that is "wide" or 1200x800, everything looks like im used to, except everything is pixelated ( it's unplayable). If I use the other resolutions, its not pixelated, but the resolution is kinda weird ( sometimes the words on the left are as big as half of the screen).
Anyone else had this problem and can maybe help me?
Excuse my bad english, I had no clue how to explain my problem.

I got a Gtx1060ti, an I5 and 8gb ram. Playing windows 10, got avira as antivirus and except spotify there aren't other programms running
Btw i also tried to play on my laptop, and I had the same issue, so it's not device related i guess
