Killmarks and Killsounds

Hi, I would like to ask if it possible to give us killmarks and sounds back. There are some amazing mods out there, and the old ones are getting pretty boring. I know that they are forbidden right now. Thats why I want to ask if you could make a folder in the Crossfire data where it is possible to place ur own killmarks and sounds.

while custom kill marks and sounds would be fun. There's a reason they prevent it. Keeping in mind there's SUPPOSE to be a sound and icons. those things can effect individual game play and by keeping them the same for everyone they keep everyone at the level. Imagine playing Ghost mode and killing someone and normally you'd get that kill sound which would give hinder your hearing for just a bit longer but instead you have a custom sound file for it that's just silence. thus allowing you to hear another ghost nearby that might have had a chance at killing you had you had the original kill sound instead of a custom one.

Things like that are why they put up the rule. that and by discouraging even small file edits it, kind of..., discourages any other edits people might feel they want to make that would give them advantages in other areas as well.

Now....if they were to go through and create a series of options for killmarks and sounds that the players could then choose from to better fit their playstyle/desire for fun then that'd probably be acceptable. Kinda like how we can choose crosshair options.

First of all. Stop putting [Impletened] in the post title. that won't help to get more people checking.

Changing the files of the games is actually bannable. So don't come to me when ur crying about ur been banned for changing the files, if this suggestion will be implemented. What I am sure won't be.

As many people mentioned, allowing players to modify them freely is something will probably not gonna happen again. There are different reasons for this but they were mentioned above.

That being said, we are exploring the possibility of having more marks/sounds, but it might be some options where you choose from and they can get updated frequently

I personally would like to see just a killmark change not a sound change

id like an option to disable fire in the hole sound, its very annoying
