Side stepping in the game makes the crosshair weave up and down?

I have just rejoined the game after leaving for a while but now when I move sideways by pressing A or D the crosshair keeps weaving up and down and I dont remember the game doing that and neither do i see that in youtube videos. Is there a secret setting somewhere to be able to disable that? I have looked multiple times in the settings and found nothing.

This sounds like the mouse polling rate is too high, try setting it to 125 Hz in your mouse driver. If you have a mouse which doesnt come with a driver, there will be a specific button combination which you can find in the provided manual.
