Forum Upgrade

When the forums got a makeover a couple years ago, was making them functionally worse in every way part of the plan? Just curious how this got rolled out the way it is. Was it on purpose?

Some functions dont even work or are completely broken. More of a downgrade than upgrade.

Yeah that's one that stands out. There used just be a night theme you could set. Now there's some ridiculously complicated customization thing where you have to choose a hex color code for every little aspect of the forum. Like you can change the colors of the background, and the color of the posts and then the lines around the posts. There's like a dozen different elements you can change the color of, it's so stupid. And on top of that, it doesn't even work! I tried to change some of them to make them dark and nothing happened. lmao.

Also, did they take out forum signatures? I don't really care but I couldn't find where to edit it. Maybe they just upgraded it right outta there lol.

The old forum was nothing to write home about but it at least did what was expected of it. It was simple because that's all it needed to be. They tried to make it all fancy and customizable but failed miserably and just ruined everything. Like they released it and were like "Huh, this is broken af. Ah, well screw it"
