Account Switching Legitness?

I know this is against ToS and all, but I've been seeing this trend where people try to "Trade" accounts with me cause of some VIPs or something that I have, and recently one of my friends that plays this game also has gotten these messages but one of them in particular stood out to me. Some guy offered him a 4 Star general account with 900K GP and 20K ZP with 20 VIPs and he didn't even give his account info away. Is there some kind of scam in this cause I know they can't change the password cause his email is a different password than his game account, so it seems like they can't hack it or delete it, but at the same time why would you give away such a high ranking account with some much money invested into it for a chance at something that they could easily get like another VIP? It doesn't seem right to me and it seems like a scam however I can't seem to find the angle on which they scam you because there literally is no risk involved for either party.

The risk is huge trust me. I have never been involved in such things and thats why I have my account for over 8 years. Also yes reading your post about that accpunt 20 vips, 900k gp etc. thats a scam 99%.

Reading this, strikes my paranoia and raises red flags.

Suppose you and them were to trade accounts.
You don't know if it "actually" belongs to them. It could be passed on from some other person and this person could be a middle man.

1. Your account can be used in those farm TDM or SND rooms where your character will become a farm cow and your KDR will be milked dry to raise other people's. If not then it can be used to help other people farm events.

2. Your account can be sold access to other people who will use your account. They can use it for illegal purposes such as hacking. Even if they don't do anything illegal, imagine having several egys sharing your account and then there's you trying to gain access back into it. Of course trying to use the 4 star general account, you might be one of the chumps who might be waiting to use like the other people who have access to it.

3. Any reserved gp/zp/coupons can be spent immediately on trash weapons and items.

Trusting any Crossfire players should raise red flags. I don't trust a majority of the community to do the right thing. If it's not greed, then they'll do it for "teh lulz".

100% scam, actually. Pretty much anyone who randomly PMs you while you're in the lobby is at worst trying to scam you or at best trying to get you to join their crappy clan. If they want to trade accounts it's 100000000% a scammer.

Let me give you a real experience that happened with "me" ..... My account name is Zerconium.JR and this JR is not out of the blue i had an account it's name was zerconium (you can search it but adjust the rank to "all time" ) i lost it in one of those idiotic trades ..... Oh man i loved it so much that i named my new account after it Zerconium.JR

If i kept it till now it could be atleast a one star account...
