Attention Mercenaries,
As a general security reminder, it is always best practice to ensure that your account is secure and that nobody obtains your information.
We would like to remind you that GMs, Moderators, Support Staff, and any other Z8Games Staff will NEVER ask you for your password or personal information in game, emails, Discord, or any place outside of the support system at https://support.z8games.com/us/index.php?/Tickets/Submit .
All contact from Z8Games will use official Smilegate West or Z8Games email accounts, and will never use email domains outside of our own domain. This means we do not use Yahoo, Gmail, Live, or any other public email service provider.
Please see the following tips on protecting your account and information:
Verify the e-mail address: Attackers will often create an email address that looks almost identical to the e-mail address they are attempting to spoof. Simply clicking on or hovering over the email address will reveal the true identity of the sender. Keep an eye out for misspellings, additional letters or periods within the address. Also, verify that the address is coming from the correct domain and not a free account such as from Google or Yahoo.
Pay attention to the grammar: Many times attackers quickly write the messages but fail to check for misspellings and punctuation mistakes.
Check the tone of the message: Attackers want to create the illusion of distress or urgency in the tone of the message in hopes that victims will respond instantly. Allowing time to think about the nature of the message may help identify its legitimacy.
Always Ask: If you are ever not sure of the accuracy or legitimacy of a message from a GM or Moderator, you may always submit a ticket to ask, or come to one of the GM's directly on Discord or the forums.
Always Check The URL: Always make sure you are on a Z8Games.Com web page before entering any information. Check the website address at the top of your browser every time you log in.
Never Share Your Account: Never let anyone use your account, even if it is a friend, spouse, family member, or other trusted individual. The best way to avoid having someone steal your information, is making sure you never give it to them to begin with.
Stay Safe, Mercenaries!
