Why does everyone seem to have a tmp what did i miss?

I don't know...
I see a post on facebook with aa12/tmp pics on it and it was saying "we missed you mercenaries login and get rewarded"
Maybe they give out these guns to people who were inactive and log in after long time
Just a guess...

They changed the returning player reward so that you now get 2 items and you can pick them instead just getting a random item. One of the items you can pick is the TMP gold black dragon or whatever it's called. Also I think smiley accounts might get a regular skin TMP when they first join cuz I see a lot of those around too.
