So it's probably a good time to do another interview with a player who has gone to a recent live event; [MOD]Jessy who went to EGLx 2018 in Ontario!

Q. Hey Jessy! Can you introduce yourself?
Hey! My name is Jessica Kotov and I’m from Germany. Currently living in Richmond Hill (Canada). I’m 25 years old and I have been playing CF since 2010.

I found out about CF due to my younger brother. He was playing CF first and I watched him play. After a while I asked him if I could try it out. I was playing a match of Monaco (TDM and then made my own account.

I met a few players and then eventually was invited to join my first clan. With some of the guys I’m actually still friends. Eventually, the clan we were in “died” and we joined new clans. One clan that we joined was a Russian clan and what can I say. In this clan I met my now husband. We got married in 2014 and since then I've been living in Canada with him and his family.

How did I become a mod, you may ask? Back in the day there has been a Facebook announcement about a gun and a lot of players have sadly written very mean and disrespectful comments towards the GM’s. I was speechless when I saw what some have written. So I decided to write my own comment and expressing how I feel about this. One of the GM’s has seen my comment and private messaged me over the GM Facebook account. The GM thanked me for what I wrote. I’ve never expected a GM to pm me to be honest. We stayed in contact and I kind of helped underground by just forwarding bugs in game and other things. I got invited to join the GM’s and the CF database live stream and chatted with them in voice chat. Eventually this GM has asked me if I would like to become a MOD since I’m already helping. Needless to say that I agreed.

Q. Many of us saw that you went to EGLx 2018 to visit the CrossFire stand. Can you tell us about your experience there?
EGLX has been awesome but tiring haha. I drove there with my husband and a friend every single day to help out, join the tournament, meet new and old players and have some fun. We don't live to far from the place so we just drove there ourselves. I met a lot of old players such as Zyko, Deiv, OneTrueMitch, TheOriginalG, Terrify, Hot and many many more

I mainly helped with our spin the wheel that we had where players could win cool prizes such as codes, backpack, hat, T-shirt and permanent items. Other than that I just answered some questions that attendants and players had about CF.

Q. Did you win any cool prizes at EGLx 2018?
Yes, I actually won a t-shirt and a permanent weapon from the spin the wheel which I gave to my husband.

Q. Did meet any of the GMs?
Of course I met Cinder, Violet, Effects, Kanadian, Katfish, Hoon, Juicebox, Pasta and one of the GM’s from CF Brazil.

Q. For the people who haven't attended a CF Live Event yet, what would you like to tell them based on your experience?
If you ever have the chance to attend to such an event, DO IT! It’s the best chance of meeting some of the players you know, to meet the GMs in person and ask questions. Get to know the GMs a little better and see that they are actually really fun and nice. Win some cool items and just have a great time.
