File Is Changed: W[2007 L[2] crossfire.exe
Having problems, I played Crossfire today, and all suddenly it came up Buddy server has been changed or something like that, and Crossfire shutted down of itself, Now i have a new problem.

I usually get that message when a friend in my buddy list changes their name. Hasnt made my crossfire crash though o.O. Try uninstalling cf, going to your computer ( Edit: my computer, local disk, program files z8 games) and deleting any z8 games files then reinstall. When you reinstalled the last time, the dodgy file would have been left there and the new install just gave u a repeat of what you had previously. ( i think) try it. -

me too
i played it today like 3 hours ago or something, then i stop playin and watch TV. just now like 20 mins ago, i tried to open CF client then suddenly AVAST detected some kind of virus and blocked it name ROOTKIT. and then client turn off automatically. kinda weird cos it never happen to me before. i tried to open the client again and then there. client wont open and it says the same on wat u gettin now. ( File is changed ) i dont what is changed. all i know is i changed my pants cos it got wet wen i saw a virus coming out from CF client LOL. anyway wat should i do? ty -

yeeeeed taht happened to me! i got avast too it´s so anoying and dont try to reainstall or download a fresh copy because it will be the same Fiz this mods plz -

I Do have Avast free antivirus, It detected to, But never happened be4 -.-' Wierd, though every1 is getting the same problem the same day.... i wonder, should I Download another virus program just because I want to play a game? I mean. Theres no hacks and viruses in Crossfire? Wierd.. -

nope, AVAST is good. you dont have to changed ANti virus Program just to play CF. i think its not the ANti Virus fault cos this is the first time i had this problem since i been playin the game for abit long enough now. just today i had this problem, and i dont know wat to do. cos even if i reinstall a new client, i think it will be the same, just wait till someone really know on how to fix the game. for now, read all tread

It seems that I found a solution that works. I have opened Avast program and in Standard Shield I have clicked on Customize where in Advanced section I had to Add the path of my crossfire.exe (C:\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFire\crossfire.exe) and it works for now! Not the smartest move but the game works till some better solution.

i like avast xD i never get virus but this is weird :S 
same had avast for a really long time and suddenly it says crossfire has a rootkit virus xD and it stops on da crossfire.exe problemo
