any tips on useing it (seriously id like to know) plz no aim for the head, or shoot and kill :S

Tips that dont include "Aim for the head"

Erm, well from my point of view the M4 is a really easy gun to use, its light, quick and fires well so this is how i try to make the most of my M4....

1. Burst, dont spray.
2. Strife then Fire, Then strife & fire again, this way you can take down your enemy with body shots without taking too much damamge yourself. The reason i do this is because the M4 isnt the most powerful gun.
3. Spam wooden objects, i.e. walls boxes ETC. The M4 seems to maintain its damage ratio rather well when shooting through objects.
4. Watch your ammo, it runs out quickly due to the ROF. I find the Anaconda is best suited as a sidearm, the M4 is a touch slow on the RL.
5. Aim for the head.. i know you said it but TBH its the most efficent way to use this and well any gun in this game. Saying that, the M4 is so easy to control aiming for the head should become second nature..

Enjoy playing with the M4, iv got most of the rifles in this game and its sad to say after using them all im back to my good old M4.. Its that good.

You answered your own question: AIM FOR THE HEAD

The M4 has very little recoil and an effective spray pattern, so you might as well use this as an advantage.

The damage is pretty low and loses over distance so its not a good idea to get accustomed to body shots.

If you cant aim, then go for a rifle that hits hard (AK,SL)

the most important thing to get used to is firing in short bursts aimed at their upper body/head, make sure to give enough time between bursts for your reticle to shrink back down.

Yep.

A good way is to bring some friends to Crossroads and do mid-only and headshot only. Combined with constant pubbing/scrimming, u will see progress.

But seriously, telling sombody thats new to the M4 [or mostly any gun for that fact] to spary is going to get them into trouble.

It takes time to understand the spray pattern, so go on crossroads with a friend and spray the hell out at a wall, see were it goes and then try to control it.

i just won one on a GP create

its not a very hard gun to use... kinda like a SL with more reload time and less damage, the only way you can really get used to the gun is by trying it yourself
