  • There is so much focus on this public ban list that we may just take the thing down.

You guys gotta stop focusing all your efforts on figuring out who and what is going on rather than just playing the game and reporting hackers and trusting that we're banning.

3 day bans are usually handed out to people exploiting obvious glitches. (depending on severity and repeat offenses this day could go up or down)

In this particular case it was a typo in selecting "bot" rather than "bug abuse" for the reason to issue the ban.

My question to you would be what does it matter? We obviously had reasons to issue a temporary ban, does it actually matter what it was for if it wasn't you?

The thing is Saidin, submmiting the reports is time consuming and tedious, so for all that effort i and many others want to see Names up in lights with BANNED in big old lights so we know our effort hasnt gone to waste.

    ty & GG

Oh, and the trust thing. Do i trust Z8? Not one iota. Sorry but thats the truth, iv sent reports in of wall hackers (and i mean blatant wall hackers). Did they get banned? nope because the guys still playing.

well saidin i respect u guys alot i know yall r doing gd things and r trying ur best but when there r hacks that dont get bann because of what ever reasons that im not going to get into its hard to not check the bann list and if there was an in game mod or admin or something that could bann as they come across hacks instedd of waiting for us to turn them in in would help alot , we turn in hacks cause we want to play and enjoy the game but with the number od hacks there has beeen its hard to play and enjoy the game. All we want is to play and enjoy this game!! this is the best free FPS game ive ever play and i dont mind spending the money on zp to support yall m but i feel this is why most ppl watch that list so much.
  • Our mods (and us GM's although not specifically on a GM account) play the game on a daily basis.

I understand it's not intuitive to report a hacker. There could be some improvements coming though once the tournament is over. Namely some upgrades to make it simpler to transfer files. But again these types of things take time. We're sorry things may not be happening as fast as people want. But the constant belittling of what we're doing here especially because the ban list is "public" is starting to take its toll. We've never been forced to make the ban list public. In fact something like a "banned user list" is RARELY made public in game companies, probably for the very reasons we're talking about here.

So while I appreciate the sentiments, sometimes I just have to appeal to you guys and say "can we drop this?". We're patching the game, and then came out with a bug-fix style patch a few days later which improves the game. Aren't we moving in the right direction here? I'm sure that hack fixes and better ways to report hackers and more in-game features will all come in due course.
  • Just to add on that.. I have reported Big tim hackers. Low ranks, and high ranks. if they both hacking in the same game... low ranks get banned and high ranks dont. I have seen this happening. I still have the replays, the low ranks in that replay are banned, but not the high ranks. So i dont complain about it.. cuz if they keep on doing it.. they will get caught one day.

So to all, dont complain they will get it some day.

    This shouldn't necessarily be happening.

I don't want to call out any one particular user in any of these examples, but sometimes a lot of our users don't know the difference between a wall hack, or a chams or an aimbot or a glitch etc. This is just a generality and not meant to look at any one user.

When someone says 'blatantly hacking' it's not like we can just run to the system press the ban button because one guy says 'obvious hacker'. The problem comes when we ban someone who isn't hacking, high level or not, zp user or not. We don't want to ban someone who is "good" or who isn't hacking.

For all the legit reports we get of hacking there's always a few mixed in there that are completely wrong and completely based on nothing that slow the whole process down. Bad players will always report good players for hacking. Especially when they are under the impression that everyone in the game is running some sort of a hack. The worst is when you get a user who thinks a player is hacking when they really just pushed through a wall in a map glitch. In which case we would have rather known about the glitch so we could have forwarded it off to the right people and get it fixed.

I can't give much more insight here into whats going on without offending someone or revealing too much of the private policy we have here. Suffice to say it takes time on these things, but we don't discriminate when we issue a ban. That includes the high level players who might be hacking and will get banned, and the low level players who accuse everyone and everything of 'hacking'.
  • Out of curiosity. How can you guys tell if someone is one hit VIP hacking through the replays that you want us to send in? They are so glitchy and you don't accept growler replays. I know my clan has sent in one replay of a player 1 hit VIP'ing with an m4 adv. I'm talking no headshots and one bullet through a box was still killing.

saidin i know u guys r doing ur best and i don't expect things to get fixed over night but we've all seen the high ranks hack i wont say who i think u know , but they do 360s witch is hard to miss and i don't know of any glitch or any thing that dose 360s , but we see them still playing . I supported yall when ppl say yall don't ban zp buyers 100% backed u guys but now im seeing it happen not saying that he just hasn't been bann yet im giving yall the benefit of doubt for now but we all see it and i think maybe ppl r waiting for them to get bann and it takes longer than ppl think and thats where the problem comes from and if the ban list isn't public for this reason then u would have to do away with player list to cause i don't even check the bann list i check player list and add them as friends when i can in game lol some times it works sometimes it doesn't tell them join my clan what ever i can to get it , well i could go on and on but i wont, just keep up the gd work i know it will improve over time.

    good point, I totally agree!
  • Why even keep a list if it's not kept up-tp-date and people are banned and filed accordingly?
  • "That's great GM, and Imma let you finish, but that was the most blatant hack of all time! OF ALL TIME!"

On a serious note, we players should be happy that there is a feature where we can save the whole match. In other FPS games, you would have to have a recorder running if you want to catch the hacker and have evidence.

    I chuckled.

Really? Then stop making the list more trouble than it's worth. It's basically a favor to you, and you're using it against the people who provide it. Not smart this is.
  • Thanks for answering this thread, mods. I'm always glad to see you posting things here just to let us know what's happening and wether you're really working on problems or not. Sometimes I just get the feeling nothing's happening, but I know it's the opposite. And actually, I've gave up on reporting real hackers. From a few months ago, when there were still wallhackers and most importantly, chammers in ghost mode, I reported quite some of them. However, one important one is still playing the game. I had solid proof of him hacking BTW. He never got banned, because I have recently seen him in a room and the worst part is: HE IS IN A CLAN... Now that's just sad. So, I've given up on reporting.

Ok so remove the list, i will just stop reporting hackers and move onto another game.
The banned list is a necessary evil.

Why bother report hackers, don't waste ur time, u shouldn't care that much, let them hack and if admin dont do their job to ban them > legits people will leave to other games > no1 buy zp. That's mean cf going to heaven and ready to Celebrate!
