Whenever i try to bring up crossfire, it says that "Patch client is currently running". When i don't see anything running, then i already re-installed it and it still does the same thing.
Can anyone help?
You need to open task manager, then find a process called "Patcher" and end it. After that try reloading CF.
If this persists, then uninstall CF, run a reg cleaner (nice free one) http://www.ccleaner.com/ then reinstall CF.. -

I have played this game before through Subagames and now after redown loading I get this same issue. I have UNinstalled, Cleared all files, ran clean up disk through Glary Utilities, turned off the processer. and i still get the same issue. I am in my 3rd install off of mirror 4 and I will update this if it works. does anyone else have any ideas??? And yes i tried restarting my PC. -
Hello, you want to open task manager = Ctrl+Alt+Delete
Find a program called "CF_patcher" Or anything like it, end it. Wait 5-10 minutes and try again. Make absolutely sure you don't have an anti-virus program or firewall that is blocking CrossFire, i have had similar issues with my desktop and it happened to be my firewall. Make sure to check that first.
