From Cyber Acoustics. Picked it up in Wal-Mart for 20 bucks. I initially just wrapped it around my neck and used the mic till everyone in my household got sick of the CF sounds.

That would depend on the quality of either one.
A $100 pair of headphones are going to sound better than a $20 headset.
Good headphones are also cheaper than a headset of the same sound quality.
